Why does the installer require a system reboot?

Hi!

I was just wondering why does this plugin require a system reboot after installing on Windows. I think it's the first plugin I've installed that does this.

Adding a VST3 file to its corresponding directory shouldn't require a reboot, so what is it that does?

Thanks!

I haven't experienced that with any of the versions I've installed over the years. Which OS are you using? If it's Windows, are you sure there wasn't a Windows update waiting for a reboot, or did you see a message from the actual installer saying you'd have to reboot?

Since the installer will also install MSVC runtime(s) if missing, should any of these be locked by the system, MSI itself might prompt a reboot. The installer does not.
