Waveform 13 Free / Bitfocus Companion / OSC

I'm trying to integrate Waveform 13 Free with Bitfocus Companion. Has anyone tried this? Specifically, I created a Generic osc connection in Companion, I specified the ip address and port, and the connection was successful.

I created a button to send a message without an argument "/record".

Using oscd, I see the message is received as "OscMessage { addr: "/record", args: [] }".

I then turned off oscd and created a new Custom Control Surface in Waveform with OSC protocol.

I created a new custom control surface mapping with path "/record" mapped to function Transport->Record.

When I sent the message from Bitfocus Companion, the message indicator in Waveform flashes, but Waveform does not start recording. Has anyone else run into anything similar? Thanks!

Can you make an action that sends parameters and set the value to 1?

That fixed it! I struggled with that for hours and that's all it took.
