This is the only real issue I've encountered bridging plugins. I guess about 95% have just worked, a few I can't authorise (D16, Klevgrand) so just have a handful that don't update their GUIs until you move the window etc. I've seen people mention 3D support in GL could be the issue but haven't got around to trying the fixes (look complicated to my newbie Linux brain :) )

Off the top of my head, stuck ones include: Audiority (though maybe linux native sometime rumoured...), recent Nusofting plugs (older ones are fine), BPBs VHS (older ones ok).

I remember when I first dove into it, I was a bit nervous too. But you know what? It ended up being a breath of fresh air!

As for running those non-native apps, it can be a bit of a mixed bag. I once wrestled with getting some essential software to play nice with Linux. But with a bit of tinkering and some helpful online forums, I managed to find workarounds that did the trick.

Oh, and speaking of tricks, if you ever find yourself needing to switch back to Windows, I stumbled upon a cheap Windows 11 Pro key (https://digitalchillmart.com/product/windows-11-pro-32-64-bit/)that might come in handy! Just a little backup plan to keep in mind.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Studio One runs on (Ubuntu) Linux now.

Small update: got around to trying the DXVK thing ('3D in GL' I referred to previously) and it was all mostly fine.

Actually quite simple once you get your head around installing/using two separate Wine installs (or prefixes). Then just a few files to copy, add the new location to your Yabridge setup and your done. Ten minutes work maybe once you have the instructionsand files sorted.

Tested and working: Audiority (Xenoverb and Polaris), Klevgrand freebie (Freeamp?), Klanghelms TensJr (presume the full version ok too?), latest Linplug filter. Only plug that still has a frozen GUI was the BedroomProducers Dirty VHS one.

Hmmmm - it "runs",which is about all that can be said of it on Ubuntu. Its a buggy mess, and the 6.6 update seems to have done very little to help. I find it unusable.

Well, it is in beta, after all. You should report the bugs you encounter to PreSonus, if you want to support continued Linux development.

The time I tried, it seemed more an alpha than a beta.
I actually wouldn't know where to begin the bug reports because there was really a lot of them.

Rather than try to explain, its easier to direct you to the official Linux forum if you wish to get a better idea of the way things are going
