Here's my offering.

Download:
http://www.wusik.com/users/teleri/Tales ... Floors.mp3

Stream:
http://teleri.wusik.com/ (top song: "Tales from Topographic Dance Floors").

It's probably the most accessible thing I have. Wrote it about a year ago, just mixed it today. :-) I have no idea what style this is. Combination Prog Synth and a beat. Commercial IDM, I guess???

Ok, here's a new plan.

Give your money to the red cross or one of the charities you trust. The money is needed now and not in 6 months or whatever.

We on KvR can do something NOW and we don't have to wait until "christmas time 45 - the KvR version" is released.

Is there an echo in here?

I don't know. Why don't you tell me?

I am sure many of us have already done that as well.

My husband and I have both given money. I gave online the other day to the Red Cross. He gave to the Tsunami fund at our favorite Thai restaurant. (And yes, we trust them). But our ability to give, of course, is so small compared to the need.

So I spent 7 hours today mixing my song... because that was something I could actually physically DO to help.

I imagine a lot of others donating songs feel the same way. Having my song make it, or not make it, onto the CD is less important than simply making a musical donation so that they have enough songs to choose from. Hopefully as a group we can raise more money with this project than any of us can give individually.

We're musicians. What can we DO in the face of this overwhelming catastrophe? We can DO this.

this is exactly the spirit in which we have undertook this project, its about doing something extra once we ourselves have given all the cash we can,and no we may not make thousands but every penny helps!!!

I kind of wish people would stop jumping in and saying ok, people this is how it's going to be, because this just isn't good enough according to me! G, I understand that you are feeling some sense of urgency and probably like many of us you are also feeling a little bit impotent in the face of the numbers being quoted to us by the worsening news. But you need to remember that this is not something that is going to get fixed right away and then it will be too late. Rather the disaster is just starting in some ways, and there will be plenty of need for quite some time. Especially when the news of the week changes and everyone goes scurrying off to the next cause, as seems to be the sad case sometimes. And I don't mean to make light of the concern shown here; and also we can hope that it doesn't happen this time. I guess what I am trying to say is that sad as it seems, there is plenty of time left when donations are going to be needed, and maybe even better that there is a slight delay (and I only mean slight) in that as donations perhaps start to trail off as the shock subsides, our little contribution could mean even more.
This perhaps seems unfeeling of me. Don't take it that way. At worst I am a pragmatist.
I feel that this is FAR from being not enough, and far from being too late, or too little, or whatever. I think that it is a really nice gesture from decent people who are doing what the CAN; and that is all that can be asked of anyone.
Happy new year, friends and aquaintances.

I think it is a GREAT project. We are actually doing something and not just talking about it.
I would be very proud if one of my songs would be on the CD.
I've allso send money to the red cross. They can use all the help they can get.
I really hope we will never be in a situation like that. But if that would happen we would be glad that others help us.

I would really like to contribute a song to this CD but there simply isn´t time to finish a song on so short notice, for me atleast. If only the deadline were a few days away!

I´ll buy the CD anyways of course.
