How much are you willing to pay for a T2 upgrade

At this point in time, I gotta big-fat GOOSE EGG for the update. What I own right now works and it was that coupled with the "buck the big boys" attitude that got me here in the first place.
If (and I don't really think it will be this way) there is this HUGE price increase and there are a few "boutique" features like so far, forget it. I can pay crapwalk for the sonard update if I want to dump big bucks. Or, get audition or something along those lines.
Now before SOME get in an uproar, re read and digest what I am saying, I am actually on everyones side. I see people willing to hand out 200 plus for an upgrade for an 80buck program and I guess I'm thinking that's gonna break the groundhogs back!
We did not get here because we want to shell out big cash on bloated crap, we want REAL software that has true funktion........right?

as a mac user, no way they can charge more than 150$ new price as long as G4, dual processor and G5 aren't supported, just not in the big league yet. if it does, 250 new would still be reasonable if it includes some plug-ins.
i'm not paying over 100.

How much i'd spend completely depends on what T2 turns out to be.. if it doesn't have everything i need i might not upgrade.

Of course it depends on the features, but much as I like Tracktion, I've got Sonar 4 now and that is really great. So I'm more likely to go ahead and get the T2 update if it's only like $50-100, regardless of having S4. But if it's much more than that, I'm not going to be able to kick down the bucks unless it really has something incredibly unique that can't be done with S4.

sorry about pulling such a hit and run there guys, I'll add my next 2 cents now...
First off, this was merely intended to get a feel for peoples price range, I know there are more than a few people like AD80 who would pay "anything" and up until october or so I would've counted myself among them. Financial strain and other hosts (eXT) luring me away with frequent updates have mad e me reconsider, and I wanted to see how other people felt. The big one for me was people throwing around prices like $300, which is insane imho. Personally I'll be surprised if the upgrade costs (much?) more than the original purchase, and I think the sub $200 price range for a new license makes the most sense, but it's all conjecture.
Most people pointed out that we don't even know what features will be included, but it seems unlikely that features will be lacking, especially some of those mainstays of our requests (midi learn, midi sync etc.). I won't be upgrading the moment it's released anyways, no matter what the cost/feature set, for reasons completely unrelated to Tracktion.
So I guess it all boils down to me being nervous about *never* being able to afford T2
P.S. - Montana, yes.

I don't want to declare how much I'd be willing to pay. Maybe Jules and Mackie haven't set a price yet. I don't want to give them ideas!
Er... that said... I'd pay... er... $20! Yeah, that's the ticket... $20! You listening Jules?? And it'd better be mind-blowing for my $20!!
The comments about Tracktion being orphaned-- what the? Now, I'm an XT-geek (OK, an XT-almost nerd), but daily updates and an omnipresent developer that's only half-human are not the product, you know? I bought it and I look forward to its development, but for me, eXT doesn't allow me to make music. It HELPS me to make music, in Tracktion.
Jorgen designed it to be a host-supplement as well as developing it into a yummy standalone app. I choose to use it as a supplement.
I mean... what if for whatever reason Jules never heard of KvR and therefore didn't set up the forum here? Or had a personality that didn't lend itself well to frequenting a forum and being social? Or is the kind of guy that decided he'd rather work on the app instead of socializing? Most of the time when he was around, 1.x was still in development and he was responding to bug fixes. Then he collected feature requests. Now he's working on the next app and perhaps he's happy to not spend too much time on an internet forum.
The very fact that T2 has been programmed shows that the product is far from abandoned. I mean... what the hell? It's so self-evident that it's embarrassing to even point it out....

I would be very disappointed if the upgrade cost exceeded the original cost of T1. Reason - T1 does at least 90% of what I need. I don't want to pay double for that extra 10%. And I don't want to pay a high price for millions of features I don't need.

im sure t2 will have some features, everyone will want and it ll reel you in like a fish, they started this by giving out t1 for free.. im guessing $80- 100.. and im sure they ll discount the buyers of t1 by at least $30.. ya guys gotta relize jules is a sole developer, no corparate usa crap co..,
he wants people to use his product!!!!!and im sure he s not a greedy guy, especially from all the support he gives his users on these forums... im sure he s gonna make a killing after mackie gets there cut. he is a one man show.. he ll be banking bling bling, he s not gonna rip u guys off!!!

As a new convert to Tracktion, it hardly seems to me that the support is dead. These forums alone are testament to that !!
I'm just getting used to T1, so I can wait for T2....but I do hope it is reasonably priced. I'd think anything under $200 is reasonable depending on feature set.
It's a bit different for me as I live in Australia so the exchange rate is not always kind. I have good reason to want it priced aggressively ! My wallet is not that big right now and I'd love to support this next version with my purchase.
