Yeah, I don't see anything apart from the banner with 'Limited Time Only'

Did Sweetwater enter the correct info in their listing ? because Thomann has a 6 month subscription to Studio One+ https://www.thomann.de/gb/presonus_stud ... d_source=1 but it's not Hybrid and their terms state
Qualifies for the following upgrade options: If, during the 6 month term, another Studio One+ 6 Months is purchased, then the product will automatically upgrade to Studio One+ Hybrid, where you will receive a permanent license for Studio One Professional at the end of the term. The same applies to the combination of a Studio One+ 6 Months in combination with Presonus hardware, which also includes a Studio One+ 6 Months
So $99/89 for a copy of latest Studio One might be a deal, or you could end up with nothing after 6 months

Post

Sounds like the license is automatically activated with Presonus upon purchase, right?

I just sent the Sweetwater people a message to clarify what's going on.

  1. When might Komplete 15 be expected?
  2. When on sale, without crossgrades/upgrades, what price might I expect to pay for Komplete Standard or Ultimate?
  3. I am eligible for the Kontakt crossgrade. If I were to go this route, what might I expect to additionally pay if I later were to upgrade to Komplete? (ie, would it be worth just waiting to buy Komplete outright and skip the Kontakt crossgrade altogether?)
  4. Since I already have Reaktor, is it worth just getting the Kontakt crossgrade and skipping the rest of Komplete? How much use are people getting out of the rest of the package?
Thanks all
I'd suggest waiting for Komplete 15, which is due September 2024. Komplete 14 (Standard) was probably the best Standard version yet in terms of products included and overall value.

Alternatively, you could get Komplete 14 Standard used copy if you find it and then upgrade later when Komplete 15 is out. This way you will have Kontakt 7 right away and also be able to use Komplete 14 products in the meantime. Also, should any products get removed from Standard version when Komplete transitions from 14 to 15, which is likely, you will still have them.

I'd say stick to Standard version for now and don't think about Ultimate/Collectors Edition until you have the Standard. During the summer sales, the best discounts on updates/upgrades are 50%. However, you will have to wait for a year post release of a new Komplete version for such a sale.

Tip: Never buy a Komplete Ultimate/Collectors Edition outright. Always have the hierarchy of Standard -> Ultimate Upgrade -> Collectors Edition Upgrade for the best flexibility.

EDIT: Well, Summer of Sound 2024 has already started. Your timing couldn't be better. :)

Silverbullet Plugin on sale for $30 right now!

https://louderthanliftoff.com/products/ ... mk2-plugin

Softube have released Flow Mastering Suite. It's a pay-to-own subscription - $14.99.
Each month gives you 30 credits. As an example, Softube Tape (previously on sale for $29) is 99 credits. Buying on sale is still cheaper, although that was expected.

One thing - you can start a trial and cancel it to get the Flow plugin strip.

Also, UAD introduced LA-6176 plugin. For whatever reason, no one is talking about it? Here it is - https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... -interface

I wasn't aware that Native Instruments removes libraries on version changes (if I understood correctly) so thanks for that. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but if I wanted to get into Kontakt Ultimate, I should either do so by,

Getting Kontakt or Komplete Standard than using a crossgrade to Ultimate or?

I only ask as Native Instruments currently has the summer deals (50% off), so wanted to check the cheapest way of getting into Komplete Ultimate.

I did find some people on Knob Cloud selling Ultimate for under the $599, but just didn't know if there's a better way.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm looking to purchase ASAP. :D

They usually shuffle products in newer versions so it results in some products missing should you not have the previous version anymore.

As I said, buy Komplete 14 Standard first and then upgrade to Ultimate or Collectors. Ignore the Komplete Select bundle, it's useless especially if you are anyway going to buy Standard/Ultimate bundle anyway.

Best Service has slightly discounted prices, so could be spend a little over $500 and get Standard + Ultimate Upgrade, for example. Place separate orders to take a little extra benefit of Best Coins.

You could buy second hand and may save more of course, but since the sale has started I'd buy direct unless you are getting a ridiculously low second hand price.

Uncle E wrote: Mon May 27, 2024 9:40 pm Razor and Monark are quite good. Not worth buying Ultimate for (they're not included with Standard) but a nice bonus if you end up going that route.
Well it turns out Razor is now on sale for $20, so I figured I'd just pick that up. Now to continue debating on Kontakt/Komplete.

It is a really good plugin sold through PA, that was being praised. Probably because price wouldn't drop to usual PA levels so it was out of reach for many people.

Now that it is available to 'mortals' I can't wait to hear how crap it is and how it was never any good :)

Anyway - some videos and more details are available at PA site: https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... t_mk2.html

Anything it's particularly good at? Looks like it mostly emulates vintage console saturation... got plenty of that through Acustica (not to mention Plugin Alliance, Waves, etc.). And it's got an EQ. And they added some lofi and vinyl algorithms from Unfiltered Audio's Needlepoint and Lo-Fi AF (which I already have). Stereo widener... have plenty of those too.

Maybe I'll add it to my BF maybe list....
