Yikes! If it's true the preset namer is not a fluent English speaker and unfamiliar with the culturally dominant English-speaking culture (the United States ), then it's understandable they may not know it's sexist in origin (see Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue, identifying it as such since 1811) and continued usage. They could have heard it divorced from cultural context. Reminds me of a high-level religion leader who recently used a word in an unfamiliar language that is a homophobic slur.
