We have slightly changed and improved the mix:

-- Clean guitar eq-ing changed
-- Vocal deessing improved
-- First break extended - more "air"

Have fun! :D

Top track enroe. I love the passion and energy of it.
The opening riff is great (you should have a listen to "Short Memory" by Aussie band "Midnight Oil" which is similar)
Cool bridge. Interesting ending.
Well done!

This is really good. Only suggestion: make the lead vocal somewhat more "in your face", as suits a rock track like this. Would give it extra oompf and "raw rebel" sound which would make a good contrast with the more "studio smooth" backing. It's the lead but it's basically not taking centre stage; right now it "sits safely in the mix" when it should pop. Might be fixable with, say, 2-4 more db. My guess is that the singer was the mixer, and got (unjustifiably) self-conscious.

This is probably the best mix I have heard from you (so far). The separation/definition between the instruments is great, even in the louder/denser moments. It's good songwriting, too. I particularly liked the way the song flowed into and out of the "Interlude 1" section. I originally thought the ending was very sudden, but I'm used to it now, and I think it fits the narrative of the song.

Good work :)

Ohh, thanks for the mention and the comparison to
"Short memory" by Midnight Oil. Everyone here knows
Midnight Oil - and that is a great honor.

Thank you, Allomerus! :)

I dug the melody right off. The harpsichord compliments the guitar nicely. Cool story telling. I really like the accompanying illustrations to this one as well.

enroe,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: I like the "Bowling For Soup" type vocals. Everything sounds good instrumentally. Surprised by the orchestral string bridge. Nice guitar solo. Nice song, melodies, and recording! :)

Good well balanced song. Well done.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

Thank you, lingyai! We thought the lead vocals were already
very good up front. But we will of course reconsider your
suggestion - thank you for that! :)

the chorus or so at 1 min? I like it a lot, distorted guitars, great singing. Also really like the intro guitar that runs throughout, might wanna sample it ^^?

Oh, thank you seismic1! Yes, the ending is a bit sudden - we didn't
want the song to be too long.
