Any hints as to what they will have on sale? I mean besides their tables and chairs?Uncle E wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 5:15 am They've got the sale scheduled to start for us on June 13. They titled the sale the "Grand Finale" sale.

Curse you for encouraging our rampant GAS!
Thank you, Uncle E!

Is it going to be another one of those "you can't use jam points for this" sales they do? I already have almost all the T-racks stuff that remotely interests me, don't have the tapes (except Space Delay) but I've got other tape emulations I like. Have Sunset Sound, not sure Fame would add much, not really interested in Stone Room. With jam points I might be willing to consider Max for 50*2/3 = $33.33 though.LunarKitten wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 11:05 pm Under 50$ for 53 plugins sounds like an insane deal. Too good to be true. I usually use free plugins or pick up generous deals. Is this a bundle I should get?
The tapes might have the highest CPU hit of all tape plugins.Cavey Arrgh wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 11:46 pm Curse you for encouraging our rampant GAS!
Serious question, how is the cpu hit? Compared with similar plugs in the Arturia FX Collection for example.
Since people use plugins for so many different uses, genres, etc., I could never tell if this was on purpose or not- i.e., if they deliberately sacrificed CPU efficiency for processing quality, and the tapes were meant to be used on the master bus, not individual channels. Kinda in the same way that you technically could use Ozone on all your channels, but it seems like it's really meant to be used once per project on the master.Uncle E wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 1:04 amThe tapes might have the highest CPU hit of all tape plugins.Cavey Arrgh wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 11:46 pm Curse you for encouraging our rampant GAS!

I can't imagine a company as large as IK going out of business but "Grand Finale sale" does have a rather ominous ring to it....
