TX16Wx 3.6.0h Released 2023-10-06T11:05:41+00:00 TX16Wx Software Sampler and TX16Wx Professional version 3.6.0 is now finally live. After a much longer beta period than expected, it is time to make this gold. Let the bug hunt really begin. :-) This update adds new features, performance improvements and fixes. 3.6.0h is a hotfix for a regression in the nag dialog. 3.6.0j fixes a regression in the file browser w.r. unicode file names, and adds a handy token based matrix generator (pro). Version 3.6.0h new features: Fix crash (osx)/no timer update (win) in Pro trial dialog Version 3.6.0j new features: Added token based wave matrix generator (TX Pro only) Fixed regression where unicode file names could cause file browser crash Fixed OSX file name consistency issue when using unicode file names vs. string program input Made Windows VFS implementation more resilient to broken shell items Internal refactoring Version 3.6.0i new features: Added "clear log" button in settings>log view. Fixed VST2/3 host knob mode not acknowledged if set before UI opens Fixed deleting matrices not updating region mappings Added kill trigger for pathological disk stream transposition stride cases to prevent livelock when doing excessive resampling. 3.6.0h is just a small bugfix. Was supposed to be fixed earlier, but got lost in a merge. Version 3.6.0h new features: Fixed XML schema error causing waves with MIDI bounds defined not loading in bank 3.6.0g has some improvements related to slicing: Version 3.6.0g new features: Added envelope detection based beat detector/slice option to wave editor Fixed DFD playback of ranges smaller than initial buffer playing beyond range. Fixed range mapping not updating DFD buffer on range edit Mapping preview now takes assigned range into account. 3.6.0f has some user interface improvements: Version 3.6.0f new features: Loading material requiring manual resolve of dependent content now marks resulting items as modified (including secondary loaded items) Loading bank now clears undo queue as advertised Bank save button is now better highlighted when loaded content is changed. 3.6.0e has some minor bug fixes. Version 3.6.0e new features: Fixed keyboard focus issue on MacOS/Logic Fixed velocity/modulation curve undo not working. Improved curve editor closing behaviour on Windows. 3.6.0d is actually not so much bug fixes, instead a tentative new feature. TX16Wx can now load, play and create wavetables , as defined by some popular synths, i.e. Serum. This is a sort of preview feature, but still pretty powerful. TX can now load and recognize the "clm " WAV custom attribute, and detect a WAV is meant to represent a collection of X single cycles. Mapping this sample in "WT" (wavetable) mode allows crossfaded playback where the PW control determines cycle selection/balance. TX can also create and export wavetable materials, both as WAV and LMS. Version 3.6.0d new features: Added (serum) wavetable wave load and variable cycle playback support. Added batch conversion feature (importable materials) (Pro only). Added built-in library database support with automatic scanning and categorization (Pro only). Added per-group chordizer. Added support for Core Audio wave files (CAF). Generalized wave range mapping, allowing using a defined range for any region/matrix cell. Improved loop detector. Improved fidelity for Mono mode multi sample group playback, ensuring no discontinuities in sound. Improved UI layout retention between DAW sessions. AKAI cd image reader now handles offseted images (leading zeros). SF2 import improved to handle partially malformed RIFF files better. SF2 import now handles wave and loop offset info. EXS import now handles wave range mapping. EXS import now better preserves zone groups. SFZ import now handles offset/end operators. Layout slices now explicitly sorts items in wave position order. Font size in skins are now consistently CSS point sized on all platforms. Fixed issue with dropping sample(s) into region list. Fixed regression in choke fade processing. Fixed seek/sync problem with MP3 playback. Fixed SF2 preset offset bounds checking. Fixed tooltip crash on recent OS X. Stylesheet syntax for colors/gradients now more in line with CSS.
