Is there a good and free FET 1176 compressor vst

i wasnt judging PEOPLE, i was judging the choice of daw. But I agree it was a bit childish to begin with. I blame the alcohol. My apologies.donkey tugger wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 3:12 pmWell perhaps don't judge other people as "children" or "adults" based on your own childish "negative bias" next time eh?EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 1:38 pm"post a link then" you say as if I somehow have to expose my music on kvr because you TELL me to. Post a link then, and lets have a listen.
Don't demand people to "ok post a link", with an obvious negative bias where you clearly seek to somehow get me in a "gotcha" moment. Very transparent btw.
I'm very self conscious with my music as most people are, and just because you, a complete stranger to me, thinks you can DEMAND it from me is absolutely pathetic.![]()

jsCompShaper might be worth a look, maybe not 1176, it gets good reviews.

I just crawled back to Modern Dynakiller after testing literelly every known compressor I can possibly find on internet.
It's really shame that the developer has gone and there's only old 32bit vst left. I feel like I can s**k his **ck and let him **m on my t**s if anyone comes up and reverse engineer the plugin to create 64 bit or vst3 version.

What about DDMF's Superplugin to oversample and bridge? It no longer makes it free.

I could see why you might not Analog Obsession FET'ish... it's a little weird an finicky. When I want a 1176 vibe, I usually reach for:
- Analog Obsession COMPER - for blocking and tackling FET, or for 2-stage FET into Opto compression
- Analog Obsession FetCB - for a 'dancy', 'bouncy' FET
- TrackComp if I want unlinked stereo
Just curious, there are a million FET/1176 emulations out there in the wild, what do you find so special about Modern Dynakiller?

1. I just don't like Analog Obsession's plugins in general. (I'm not saying they are bad plugins, maybe I just haven't used them in the right way) They always sound a bit muffled and also apply the effect really(like really) weak at the subtle settings and very(like very) aggressive from a certain point as I dial the settings, which makes it hard to adjust and find sweet spots. But I'm always a slut for trying new plugins, so I'll check the COMPER and FetCB you mentioned too.billinder33 wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 6:09 pmEva Redwood wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:42 pm I just crawled back to Modern Dynakiller after testing literelly every known compressor I can possibly find on internet.

2. Dynakiller seems to tame out the dynamic really well without any ugly clicky or pumping artifacts(even if you crank it up to the extreme). I don't know how the developer made it, but I've never seen a compressor behave this way. (His LA-2A compressor clone is also lovely... again, it's a shame that the project is abandoned)
