How do you find the lack of filter in Zebralette 3? That filter on OSC level is it like a proper zdf filter or something more basic?
The OscFX Curve Filter is different from a regular filter. It has no resonance control for example. But it is more flexible than a regular filter. You can use wavetable curves to draw the filter spectrum and morph between different filter curves.

Here's a quick example of a saw wave (with unison) and so waveform modulation. So just the static unison saw and all the sound changes are from modulating filter cutoff and morphing the filter spectrum between 2 curves. 1 held note.

It sounds great, do you kind sharing the preset for this sound?

(Unless your goal is to emulate analog synths without using samples... in which case, much as I like Repro, I'd have to admit it's not the most analog sounding set of Prophet emulations. The most analog sounding emulation right now might actually be GForce's Axxess, which I got for free....)
How did you get Axxess for free?

I find I get better results if I use a microphone.

At this point in time:
Synthmaster 3, Respiro, Plasmonic, Stringstudio, each for what they do.
Osmose, Minilogue XD in Hardware.

But it's everchanging ... :-)

It was just a quick example to show something about the Curve Filter OscFX. I didn't save the preset.

They were doing a give away on Plugin Boutique last month.

Yawn... sounds okay, reverb/delay could be a bit nicer, overall, not impressed. Not hearing anything special in terms of distortion---doesn't sound great in the "Pure Distortion" preset audio.

Might demo myself if they ever add MPE---great per voice distortion would be nice with MPE.
I tend to use Icarus more for user wavetables and also because it's more up-to-date. Spire sounds very crisp to my ears (with nice FX too) and is one of the few synths that let you use oscillators as mod sources (which bring decent results)!
Apparently no audio rate oscillator cross-modulation though, which limits its FM capabilities.

And it seems the developers are still located in Russia. And apparently a lot of the third-party soundbanks are also by people located in Russia. Guess it's basically the major Russian softsynth. For people who don't mind what they spend ultimately going towards taxes for Putin. However I'd guess that most people wouldn't associate the sounds or the presets with support for the current Russian government.

An attitude like that makes me want to buy the software!

Now I know I have at least three Eastern European synths. The others are Adam Szabo's Viper from Hungary and DS Thorn from Belarus.

Let's see how many countries my synths are from: USA (Harmor, Omnisphere, Aurora FM, Toneboosters), Canada (AAS, Plogue Chipsynth stuff), France (Blue Cat, BLEASS), UK (GForce), Japan (KORG stuff), Germany (PPG, OP-X Pro II, Tone2, TAL, NI, and U-he stuff), Netherlands (Martinic), Denmark (KarmaFX), Portugal (Imaginando)

Which synth is that poor soul talking about?
