Listening to "Bitty Boo (as opposed to Betty Boop?)": very good melodies per usual. Very good audio quality per usual. The nice vocals fit well. Piano, sax, and everything sounds quite good. Nice song and recording!

It sounds lighthearted, but the text is also deep, or meant to evoke something more deep, this is a contrast which is a funny experience
Well produced as always

wagtunes,
Now listening to "I Wake Up Everyday With My God": even the nice piano has a gospel vibe, in my opinion. I like the singing and the lyrics. The audio quality is quite good. I think it is conceivable that this could be a standard gospel song in certain churches, being a classic. It's upbeat, and has a positive message.

wagtunes,
Now listening to "Penny Sleeves": not sure if this is a reference to "Penny Lane". Some of the instrumental sure sounds like the Beatles, especially the horns/trumpet. This may not be a cover tune, but it does have a Beatles vibe. Very nice melodies as usual. Nice piano. Nice song and recording!

Yeah, this was part of my Beatles parody album, The Leeches. The songs are meant to be references to their songs.aaron aardvark wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 4:20 am wagtunes,

I wake up...
Very upbeat and uplifting number. Meaningful lyrics too.
We got the Power...
1:17 ambitious note you're trying to reach there! Liked the guitar solo, interesting arp at some points too.
Is this album a religious collection of songs?

Thanks for the listen and feedback. Much appreciated. The album's kind of a mixed bag. I'm going through a strange phase right now. Not sure where it's headed.Bansaw wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2024 12:37 am I wake up...
