£199 for a slightly better browser. Nah.

If you look at Reason Studio's socials, the are aiming for the "beat making" crowd and not the large track count commercial crowd. It's never going to be Logic/Cubase/whatever. Honestly, if you're regularly using more than, say, 12 tracks, you're using Reason "wrong".

199 is just too high in this current climate to pay, I think RS are going to be disappointed with the sales figures. Purchasers are already pointing out a lot of bugs missed in beta. Best wait for a point update and a sale in the autumn.

I don’t see what’s better about it, pop up browsers just get in the way

Didn't say it was supposed to be just a plugin.jens wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 8:57 pmReason is a DAW - has been for more than a decade - hasn't been a plugin until recently.sQeetz wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 8:11 pm I'm not really up-to-date with Akai, but would you expect an MPC to act like, for example Logic regarding audio editing?
To me Reason is a simplified -music making tool-
That's all there is to it
I mean the DAW side of Reason. It was never meant to be Cubase or Logic or any full fledged DAW. Just the basic sequencer stuff plus a bunch of players and utilities added

Is anyone having success getting the browser windows to move freely between screens in Reason 13. My pal is not able to get it to move past the main window. In other words the Browser window won't freely float between screens. Everything else that should float freely between screens does. This is on Apple Silicon.

Maybe a good time to pickup Reason 10 on clearance? I still liked that best.

Totally unrelated to reason 13
When directly recording in the sampler , the samples are automatically embedded within the project file .
Does anyone know when ( my own ) samples are dropped in nnXT , how to embed these in the project folder ?
Found it , song self contain settings

That’s what I did , found an old hd from 2001 with some reason songs , nostalgia and curiosity got the best of me so I bought a second hand reason 10 license for 70€ .MidnightRunner wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 10:03 pm Maybe a good time to pickup Reason 10 on clearance? I still liked that best.
Only downsides :it requires an internet connection to launch , the old devices never received any updates ( dsp, wise).
Will upgrade sooner or later , but not at the current price

Never subscribing to Reason+, $199 is way too much for this update or any update, period. That's full-blown Logic 11 right there. I can ride this out. Stayed on R10 for a really long time. I remember the old days when updates were automatic for me.

That is an absolutely pointless argument for four very simple and very obvious reasons:sQeetz wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:09 pmDidn't say it was supposed to be just a plugin.jens wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 8:57 pmReason is a DAW - has been for more than a decade - hasn't been a plugin until recently.sQeetz wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 8:11 pm I'm not really up-to-date with Akai, but would you expect an MPC to act like, for example Logic regarding audio editing?

a) you have no idea what it was ever meant to be.
b) you have no idea what they have envisioned for it now.
c) I never mentioned Cubase or Logic, so why do you?
What do these have to do with the features I mentioned?
Mentioning any of these in this context is completely off topic.
d) when it offers a certain feature, such as e.g. audio-recording,
it should do so in as painless and functional way as possible. Had you understood what I meant,
you would know that I wasn't really talking about any actual additional features, but much rather that the existing stuff is fully and painlessly useable. If you don't record audio, you of course couldn't care less about this. But then of course you have no competence on the matter either.
I read fallible nonsense such as yours all the time. It's just a pointless inconsequential, irrelevant and incompetent waste of words in all of its entirety, so please forgive me my lack of discipline when it comes to holding back vitriol.
It's basically just that my FRs don't interest you and so you come up with the most absurd non-arguments as to why my FR aren't valid. How nice!

User since v1 and there's no way I'm paying 199.99 for this update.

I hope they don't reach the wrong conclusion when this does not sell well. Something like "well i guess customers are not interested in the DAW side, so let's not waste any more time there...."
because I definitely would like to see them continue to develop the DAW. Reason 13, however, is too little for far too much $$$$.
Either charge less or develop more.

Same here. In particular as I am using it only as RRP. It is impossible to justify such a price for a simple synth and FX.Resonant- Serpent wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2024 1:36 am User since v1 and there's no way I'm paying 199.99 for this update.
I would only considere whith 2 digits...
