iZotope basically left the Exponential Audio licensing system in place.

Stratus went for 49$ a couple of times and the next best sale was 24$Gavincoolguy wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:48 am Anyone know if Izotope Stratus and Symphony reverbs go on sell at the $19 price point often? I screwed up in not realizing they only give you one license and my flow requires two. I want to spend time with it before I even consider a second license.

Symphony 3D went for 199$ and once for 99$

Yes. If you are looking for reverbs the T-Racks 5 v2 Max includes six reverbs among 53 plugins in total for 49$.Gavincoolguy wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 10:41 am Oo nice site! That's how they hook you into the upgrade and pricing gimmick games. This happens when people buy production tools like they are buying groceries.LunarKitten wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:19 pmYes. Yes, I know that they have a reputation for doing this. For me getting 53 plugins for so little money, it is a great deal, even if they are likely to be legacy plugins soon. I don't think I'm the kind of customer that will keep upgrading, since I am fine even with free plugins.VitaminD wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:22 pm That's how they hook you into the upgrade and pricing gimmick games. The question I'm asking myself : How will they make my life miserable after I've purchased and installed the software? Nag screens after V6 has been released? Even less than no support? Something else?LunarKitten wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:27 pmYes, I know that they have a reputation for doing this. That's exactly what I mean by buying production tools like buying groceries. It is similar to going to the supermarket and buying cans of beans because they're on sale 5 for $5.LunarKitten wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:27 pmYes, I know that they have a reputation for doing this. I suspect you will not get nag screens outside of perhaps the download tool. Support might be diminished in time with the recommendation to upgrade your plugins, but likely not immediately.ralfrobert wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:34 pmThe question I'm asking myself : How will they make my life miserable after I've purchased and installed the software? Then, after you upgrade, your old projects will still require the old plugins. Because, unless it's changed recently, IKM bakes the plugin whole version number (v3, v4, v5) into the plugin name. So any old project will be looking for a specific plugin name with that whole version in it.
They could easily rectify that issue by removing the plugin version from the plugin naming scheme..

I can see your point. But I own almost no paid plugins and this deal is a great upgrade on all fronts for me. If there is a better deal, I'm curious to hear about it. I understand that IK multimedia has made some users upset, that is very unfortunate.VitaminD wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 3:09 pm

You CAN upgrade but you are not forced to.
As long as IK exists the plugins will work.
I use some Waves plugins that are 10 years old and still work without update plan and they are not getting older in quality. It's software...
$49 for the hole bunch of plugins is INSANE!
Grab it while you can and don't think about upgrades.

AFAIK, no, the only possible (but not guaranteed) option is Black Friday. They have a newsletter, so it's worth subscribing since they don't spam (I got just one quite informative email this year; can't see the subscription form on the site, so I guess they add you after downloading the demo). Also you can, quoting, "complete a product feedback survey to receive a 20% discount on individual purchases of any MetaSynth or ArtMatic product, or add an additional 5% to the 15% discount on any bundle." And there's an offer for the older Metasynth 5 with some additional packs: https://www.designersound.com/ui-softwa ... undle.htmlj_brady wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 8:55 am Does Metasynth have any regular discounts, like a summer sale, around holidays etc?
Been looking to pick up a copy but its kinda way out of my price range right this moment
