Does anyone know if it's possible to use MCCGenerator(s) to simulate MPE (midi polyphonic expression) from regular MIDI information similar to AutoSlide (M4L)?

Any power users tried something along these lines?
I'd have no idea where to start.

AutoSlide adds MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) ramps for incoming MIDI notes. Quickly edit the slide shape, direction and scale in the graph, and then use the Mod Matrix to enable deeper variation in your slides. The Chance control lets you choose how often a slide is generated, and the Merge control lets you use the slide to block, add, or subtract from incoming MPE data.

If it's not (easily) doable, it could be an idea for a new plugin...

You have channel parameter for each slot in MCCGenerator, so it should be possible.

Great to know. I wasn't sure if I'd be totally barking up the wrong tree. :tu:

It's good to be respectful, but I don't see any issues mentioning you released an open source MPE Generator (on the KVR homepage right now anyway).

Personally, I think the 2 plugins could be quite complementary for this purpose i.e. MCCG into MPEE as MCCG can create endless CC data for MPEE that's not present in the underlying MIDI.

A dedicated MPE emulator that's not limited to Ableton/M4L could be a helpful example when trying to do similar in MCCG alone.
