Did anyone who signed up for the free Waves Flo Motion actually get an email? When I signed up it said the license would be emailed but never received anything (checked spam, etc.). Thanks.

Yes, but I signed up before this morning. IDK if they'll send out new emails to people who sign up now, or if you had to sign up before this morning when they sent out the emails to people who signed up in advance.

It is precisely minimizing. He directly stated a majority/minority argument. I mean it has 'min' in the name even. It couldn't be more clear. But this back and forth between what is and is not minimizing is tedious and rather a waste of my time (and yours for that matter). If you want to believe it isn't that is your perogative, but I'd say you have an unusual view of what is then.

Go submit your request on their site. If people have changed from wanting stability to wanting one version installed and it shows in their requests they will switch it up. The best thing you can do is submit tickets so that what you want starts showing up internally. Griping here isn't going to show up in their project managers planning, but actionable tickets will.

Ultimately all software is full of compromises.

Stability isn't threatened by such a change. Plugins aren't going to start crashing because they remove the version numbering from the plugin name. No "Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!"

We can have our cake and eat it too if they'd remove the numbering from the file name and offer baked in compat modes per whole version, but then I think we'd see that many of the plugins haven't really changed much (if at all) audibly...

If you care to respond back, I'll read what you say but I'm not going to respond further on this matter as I think it's run it's course.

So you will do everything but submit a ticket which is the ONE THING that could get what you want. Software project managers work of statistics. If no one is reporting they want feature X, guess what, no feature X unless it happens to be a developers pet passion as well. Peter can give a 'feeling' to them, but it's actual real tickets that get addressed in dev meetings.

I got a link today that took me to waves.com and registered the plugin to my account.
Did you guys remember to confirm your email with SonicState? They're pretty cautious about not sending unsolicited communications because of GDPR. If you don't confirm after the initial application, they won't follow up.

I'll relay that some people want their projects to sound differently when they update to a new full version of the software. Thank you for the input. In the mean time, if the project is going to sit for a very long time before reopening and you need to "re-source" plug-ins I'd suggest rendering tracks so you don't lose any work if you have uninstalled those plug-ins or are moving old projects to a new computer (though we do host previous releases so unless they are REALLLLY old you should still have access to them).

what nonsense some things are posted.
IKM Tracks 3 is for example not activateable anymore, i sent support all infos etc. they couldnt help at all.
CSR Hall from Tracks3 does sound very different, i posted facts here on the forums as well.

ikm plugins are inconsistent and you might not be able to activate your previous versions anymore.

IKM just has still enough customers who bite their cheap offers i guess! your luck, long time user here and i cannot recommend these buggy mess and bad support.

Some of the bundle goes head to head with the best out there. This bundle include the 8 tapes which are industry leading, Complexor, Farm Stone Room, Fame Studio Verb, the Leslie .... all of it. Even if you owned most of them that is a fantastic deal to get what you are missing if you would use them of course.

I suppose you don't get credit for what you already own but really? Do we begrudge them some profit as slim as it may be on a sale like this?

Backward compatibility can be troublesome in some cases but in fairness it isn't limited to IK. Universal Audio's latest update warns us that that older projects won't reference the new VST files. Melda, who are amazing with this particular concern, have explained in specific cases where they have had to break backwards compatibility. I've got at least 7 generations of Waves libraries installed and they keep pushing WUP so that I can keep them all up to date and for 1 year run them on two computers. Arturia has ceased specific generation updates on a per plugin basis and introduced new version in the later bundles. That works but they do expect you have both versions installed and authorized.

I guess I see it differently than some posters here. I am just a bit at odds with the direction of this thread. All I see is value. Don't mind me, carry on.

I wouldn't go so far as to say industry-leading, but the tapes are respectable. I've seen many lovely comments about Chow Tape Model https://chowdsp.com/products.html - The scary part is that its also free.

It was $9.99 during the last Black Friday sale (which lasted from November to January). I imagine it'll be back to that price during the next Black Friday sale.
