Uncle E wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 4:10 am It was $9.99 during the last Black Friday sale (which lasted from November to January). I imagine it'll be back to that price during the next Black Friday sale.
Ah OK. I'd be surprised though if they still did prices that low once they complete the update of their old catalogue. I assume that will be finished before Black Friday this year. Anyway, cheers for the info!

Scotty wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 12:11 am Meanwhile you can get the full Tracks Max 2 with 53 plugins for $49.99 USD at their website - $42.99 USD if you've got $7.00 in Jam Points (81cents a plugin - yeah).

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5max/

Some of the bundle goes head to head with the best out there. This bundle include the 8 tapes which are industry leading, Complexor, Farm Stone Room, Fame Studio Verb, the Leslie .... all of it. Even if you owned most of them that is a fantastic deal to get what you are missing if you would use them of course.

I suppose you don't get credit for what you already own but really? Do we begrudge them some profit as slim as it may be on a sale like this?

Backward compatibility can be troublesome in some cases but in fairness it isn't limited to IK. Universal Audio's latest update warns us that that older projects won't reference the new VST files. Melda, who are amazing with this particular concern, have explained in specific cases where they have had to break backwards compatibility. I've got at least 7 generations of Waves libraries installed and they keep pushing WUP so that I can keep them all up to date and for 1 year run them on two computers. Arturia has ceased specific generation updates on a per plugin basis and introduced new version in the later bundles. That works but they do expect you have both versions installed and authorized.

I guess I see it differently than some posters here. I am just a bit at odds with the direction of this thread. All I see is value. Don't mind me, carry on.
I wouldn't go so far as to say industry-leading, but the tapes are respectable. I've seen many lovely comments about Chow Tape Model https://chowdsp.com/products.html - The scary part is that its also free.
I've never used the tape model although I understand it's quite good but the distortion on the page is super fun to play around with!

I was checking out the Humble Bundle site and the AAS synths collection. It seem ok, but am sorta on the fence about getting “lite” versions of those products. It’s still a pretty good deal though. :)

I think I used to have one of them with Sonar, but AFAIK it’s not included anymore since Bandlab took over.

I have read that waveOSC needs to be always online and that you need Beatport access. Is it worth the trouble?

After the new update, being online and beatport access is not required.

All I see is value also. All it takes is one or two people on an endless vendetta to set a negative direction. Since this discussion forum has zero moderation, the foe list , while less than ideal, is the only way to avoid endless / mindless harangues. Used to be able to scroll past them but now, entire pages can be wasted by a few who just cant let anything go.

I'm curious, so maybe Uncle E can curb that. There seems more and more often to be deals advertised on JRR for really cheap prices only for them to disappear after half an hour or so. For example, a couple of days ago, Softube Model '82 and '72 were advertised for $26 but out of stock. Today U-he Twangström was $26 for about an hour. Now, it's been stated by Uncle E himself that he double checks everything so that mistakes and glitches on the shop don't occur. So what's actually happening? Licenses being sold before they're secured? Very limited stock? As I said, there's a lot of speculation on other forums that this is baiting but also surprise as JRR is a great shop who are unlikely to do that sort of thing. It'd be nice to get some sort of clarification so that rumours and dissent don't spread.

Mistakes sometimes happen and that's ok, it's inevitable. I don't think all of it is super intentional. I remember logging into the blowouts section and there was impOSCar 3 for $29, I thought it was the upgrade, but haven't yet purchased impOSCar 2 for it to work, yet I tried redeeming the code on gforce - and it worked.

I felt bad for wasting a serial, but I hope it's not such a big problem due to amount of people buying stuff there (probably hundreds per few days).

Of course mistakes sometime happen- We've seen it many times. But...this "same mistake" has repeated itself a good few times the past month or so. Product appears on a deal, product shows out of stock half an hour later. As said, Uncle E says he is very careful about pricing errors and glitches. The best person to answer the question is Uncle E himself otherwise it's all open to speculation and that seldom has a positive outcome.

Only person i've seen speculating is you.
