I'd be happy to try to help. When you ask for an example, do you mean to send you a WAV file with a negative SMPL MIDI Pitch Fraction to replicate?
Yes, please. Some examples with different values and what the expected values are which they contain. PM me a download link from your favorite file hoster.

How can I point you to one of my EXS file ?
Upload it (incl. the samples) to your favorite file hoster and PM me the download link.

Hey I just wanted to say thanks so much for making this! I just got an MPC and it has been very helpful! Any chance of .xi files getting added to the list? I still have use for that format, it is kind of a niche thing though so I understand if not. Thanks again for making this.

What are .xi files?

Hi ! Can't send anything by PM because of the Spam Filter but I think I've find a solution, seems the issue was coming from ADSR manipulations in EXS24 before converting to an MPC Keygroup.
So now I don't touch anything in EXS24 and make my setups directly in MPC 2. It works !

Thanks again for your concern and your time :-)

Need help on WAV file structure conversion... I have WAV files in the format of <instrument name>_xxx_Vyyy.wav, where xxx is the note number (0 - 127) and yyy is the velocity (0 - 127). I just cannot figure out how to have ConvertWithMoss understand this formatting structure... Greatly appreciated if anyone can assist...

Ask ChatGPT, Google Gemini or some other AI to make you a PHP, Python or even a VBScript (do you know some programming language?) to create an sfz instrument based on the names of your wave files. Make a good prompt describing the names of your wav files and how do you want your sfz instrument to be. Once you have the sfz instrument, you might convert it to another format if you wish.

You'll have to check your script, make tests and first make a backup of your wav files just in case (The AI might not make a good script right away), but a few PHP scripts created with the help of AI were my solution to be able to take advantage of some instruments in wav format that I could never use before. Neither ConvertWithMoss nor any other reasonable application could have helped. The wav files were in folders with the name "TRACK_(instrument number)", in the format 28_(instrument number)_(note number).wav. And "note number" wasn't even the MIDI note number, but a sequential number (first note, second note, etc.). :dog: The note pitches were in a PDF brochure. :dog: I had to copy the note pitches to a txt file first, to be later processed by one of the scripts that associated the note numbers with the note pitches to create a csv. Then convert the csv file with another script to MIDI note numbers. Then finally make another script to create the sfz instruments and copy the wav files to the correct folders, with a more logical (instrument name)_(midi note).wav name.

It's a package of multisamples I bought many years ago, ZeroG String Textures (volume 28). One of the most realistic violin sections I've ever heard. Now I just have to loop every sample... or not.

The very first video (when it was still called Multisample converter and was a Bitwig extension) explains the options in detail:

That's the file I already tried and experienced what I described above.
Noted. Maybe the fact that clicking random GUI elements also trigger the noise is a clue?
Anything I can do / try / test to help make conversion to EXS work? It would be a game changer.

I am afraid I have no idea what to do about it at the moment. Since as I wrote above I could make it work for me.

I converted the same CR78 to SF2 which Logic Sampler can import. It works. Not everything is translated, but there is sound. No white noise. I guess that's a workaround.

Dunno if this is already discussed and or possible - but APPLE LOOPS (.caf) conversion would be cool

Is anyone else having trouble opening the .dmg version? I'm on macOS 14.5 (Sonoma) and very time I try to open the file to install, I get an error saying that the file can't be opened.
