More partial to Schaeffer. Not a serialist though.

ok, my two eurocents, in no particular order:

1. vesna

2. vesna (response track)

3. lilt

"vesna" means "spring" (a season; it's russian) and employs repetitions and some vague mathematics

the response track is made of processed original and, well, you can say it's maybe more "mathematical" in the "serial" sense

"lilt" has pretty much thought-of entry and exit points but is somewhat loose in the middle

i'm into academic serialism and music that sounds like serial or employs certain serial techniques (arvo part) but in the end i'm not all that enchanted in pure serialism - i tend to think of it as an instrument to convey your ideas, nothing else

TechNoize...really, really impressive! That was Edirol? Too much!

I just heard some beautiful music. Could you please post this in the Cafe? More people should hear this.

Worth noting that a serialism doesn't necessarily refer to the 12 tone scale.

Stockhausen did a lot of serial work, arranging his amplitudes, timbres, length of sounds etc etc serially before turning to formula composition.

Well I guess serialism is just a grouping we give to people who make art through a forumla - a series of instructions/calculations if you will.

How they manage to deviate without breaking their own rules is the exciting part.
