I'd like to know if a regular, as usual, installation is still possible while MPluginManager is in beta mode.

You seem to know more than anyone else here. V17 to be found nowhere.

Searching through this forum, there are talks about previous betas. So I do not have the feeling I'm breaking something that's 'top secret' development.

I think releases following a certain rhythm, and it's about time for a new major version.mevla wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2024 9:09 pmSearching through this forum, there are talks about previous betas. So I do not have the feeling I'm breaking something that's 'top secret' development.

That v17 download isn't public, some of their smaller betas are, but this isn't listed and it's only available to people on the beta group. You absolutely shouldn't be posting about a private beta on a public forum, that's kind of basic common sense and people are usually booted from beta groups for doing things like that. If you have a question about a private beta, ask the melda developers. I don't work for them, although I am on the beta.
Sorry if this comes across as grumpy, but it's behaviour like this that causes devs to be weary of trusting the public and become more restrictive.

I have no clue on how things will work on v17, but i strongly hope to have my usual file to download, where i can install and activate everything offline without the need to download anything else or any C/R auth

I am NOT in the beta group. Never have signed for it. I am a regular customer of the complete bundle.vectorwarrior wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 10:37 am That v17 download isn't public, some of their smaller betas are, but this isn't listed and it's only available to people on the beta group.
I got that email about v17 as a regular customer. I thought this time, exceptionally, I might give it a try since there are changes which gets me worried a bit about Linux. Not that I wouldn't be happy staying with v16 - I would. Heck, during all those years I got so much for the initial cost of the complete bundle. Even a complete new top grade synth, MSF ! And many high quality audio plugins. I cannot complain and I'm willing to freeze a dedicated OS to make music with the current tools I have. There's enough in there to learn that I would very likely need to reincarnate.
Again, I am NOT part of the beta group.

I've been in your shoes before, perhaps here with Melda: accused of leaking beta info without being in the beta group. Coincidences happen.mevla wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 2:51 amI am NOT in the beta group. Never have signed for it. Just checked mails and I didn't find anything about beta. But maybe a "phased rollout" and some just got drawn to get a preview?

Version 17 does not work on Macbook Pro Max (M3) with Sonoma 14.5, the interfaces don't load, spinning beach balls everywhere and warning messages. Already reported in the Beta group.

Ah, well in that case I apologize! I checked on their website, saw that it wasn't posted plus I had received the email from the usual beta list, so therefore assumed it was a private beta. Weird that the email went out to random customers, it was the first I'd heard of it so I assume it hasn't had much in the way of testing then.mevla wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 2:51 amI am NOT in the beta group. I like the new download manager. People have been complaining about having to download everything when they only want to install a single plugin.
However, this makes it difficult to save backups of previous installers if you need them. Will there still be a way to get an installer for offline installation/archiving?
