It might be a while (Black Friday?), but don't fall for it as something that pushes you to spend what shouldn't at this point. That's my advice, anyway.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Anybody use [Bundle] Synthesizer V Studio Pro + Any Voice Database (Natalie Voice Database)? It reminds me of VirSyn CANTOR. Is it great?

There's a FREE version. I must check it. Still interested in peoples opinions after they're paid for a pro version.

I once bought one of their bundles with a voice bank that I was supposed to get later. But they communicate exclusively in Japanese and kept spamming me with Japanese emails, so I might have gotten that or not. Who knows. I can't read Japanese.Aloysius wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 8:22 pm Anybody use [Bundle] Synthesizer V Studio Pro + Any Voice Database (Natalie Voice Database)? It reminds me of VirSyn CANTOR. It is a good one, but given how fast AI is advancing, these more traditional AI voice systems are rapidly becoming obsolete. Newer system like ACE Studio are better imho.

That's my opinion too. Synth V was amazing a year or two ago. Now the newer softwares are advancing..mgw38 wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 8:55 pmI once bought one of their bundles with a voice bank that I was supposed to get later. The Arturia sale happens a couple times per year. The IK sale happens often.davidka wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 7:33 pm In the middle of a house building project... And I see Arturia FX Collection 5 (upgrade from FX-Collection 2) for 99EUR, and Amplitube 5 MAX v2 for 129EUR (incl. EU VAT).

FWIW, Synth V is now being sold in stores and I expect sales to start happening eventually.

Thanks Uncle.
ACE Studio seems to be subscription only.
I might see what else I can find.

High parameter generative AI systems are billed per token. They will therefore always either have a subscription or a pay as you go model.Aloysius wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 8:14 am Thanks Uncle.

Not for me so. I have a real aversion to anything Subscription. It's a bad road imo. I did notice that Vocaloid is at v6. Also, Synthesizer V Studio Pro with the Natalie Voice Database sounds excellent in the video presentations at least. That's a one off payment too. Thanks for chiming in.

I'm not a big fan of subscriptions either. However the one plus to this one is you aren't locked into an annual contract; You can pay for a single month at a time.
So you can use it like you have access to a vocalist. They aren't going to be around at all times either. You pay for a session, you record the vocals, then you part ways.

What exactly do you think the advantages of Ace Studio are? I tried the Ace Studio beta and it wasn't nearly as good as Synthesizer V in terms of English language voice quality or tweakability. Its main advantage was the built-in audio-to-Ace Studio converter, but Synthesizer V has added their own audio converter and it works very well. Quickly skimming through some more recent Ace Studio videos from the last few months I'm still not impressed by the voice quality relative to Synthesizer V.VitaminD wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 9:26 pmThat's my opinion too. I'd say the newer technologies that might eventually threaten Synthesizer V and Ace Studio are the LLM based generators, since they seem to adapt to the emotional nuances statistically associated with lyrics, once they're able to let you consistently determine and edit the vocal melody, tempo, etc.

That's really what I meant. ACE Studio do not really disclose what transformer model they utilize. But they allow you to train your own voice, so I am assuming it is based on newer technology.Ou_Tis wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 12:35 pm I'd say the newer technologies that might eventually threaten Synthesizer V and Ace Studio are the LLM based generators, since they seem to adapt to the emotional nuances statistically associated with lyrics, once they're able to let you consistently determine and edit the vocal melody, tempo, etc.
But the more interesting solutions will come from companies like ElevenLabs, for example. It's really just a matter of time until that happens.

Ace Studio probably just added an RVC option ("voice changer") to train your own voice, so they probably just use one of their voices then run it through RVC. Plenty of high quality RVC options available, including open source that can be run locally, if you have a good Nvidia computer and you're willing to wait.mgw38 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 12:53 pmThat's really what I meant. The company that makes Synthesizer V is beta testing a new, more flexible version of RVC which they're calling Vocoflex. Unlike standard RVC you can edit the parameters and morph between vocals. However the current version operates in "real time" at expense of audio quality I think. Hopefully they'll add a higher quality option for rendering.
