Is there any chance that with the delay full multi-threading support could be implemented too ?kv331 wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 10:41 am 2. Granular oscillator is not implemented yet, I promised in the past that it would come with SynthMaster 3. So, if I release without granular oscillator, I know for sure that there is going to be some disappointment among some users (and maybe reviewers from online publications as well)
Or is that going to take too much time and not going to happen until version 3.1 ?

Honestly, I don't care when the official version is out - "stable" is relative anyway.kv331 wrote: Fri Jun 21, 2024 10:41 am Guys, I am considering delaying the official release of SynthMaster 3 to September 2, because of the following reasons:
1. Most of our sound designers have not finished their work yet. Without presets that show off the strengths of the synth, making a release is pointless.
2. Granular oscillator is not implemented yet, I promised in the past that it would come with SynthMaster 3. So, if I release without granular oscillator, I know for sure that there is going to be some disappointment among some users (and maybe reviewers from online publications as well)
3. Summer is not a good time to release products. Sales dip in summer (and they already did for the past month). Most people are on vacation in summer, and the "season" starts at the end of August when schools start
Anyhow, I will continue making weekly releases, and add factory presets as they arrive. No change on that front until September![]()
The beta runs very well here already and SM3 is such a beast with so many layers and possibilities that we will take a long time to test out every possible combination.
The sounddesigners will probably find some interesting issues through their work as well.
So in my view, take all the time you need.
I'm still trying to reproduce a bug where the sequencer is showing notes as active but doesn't play them. It actually happens in your video on the sequencer as well, but I am not sure if you noticed, the higher notes in the chords stop sounding at one point.
When it happens, toggling them on and off no longer has any effect other than visual.
At one point it started working again and since then I wasn't able to reproduce it.
If I can create a preset with such a broken sequence I will send it your way.
Cheers,
Tom

Rev 15295
Without using the DX7 presets, but from init patch, I tried to make an FM routing with 3 op feedback, using the routing window. It had 3 modulators feeding into a standard oscillator (set to sine wave). As soon as i tried to connect the output of the third to the input of the first, the DAW (Studio One) crashed to desktop.
Starting the version in FL Studio after a plugin scan immediately crashed the DAW to desktop. On the next startup, I had TWO entries in the plugin list. The second entry does not crash FL Studio, but both entries point to the very same .VST3 in the standard folder (....common files\VST3...)
Drag'n'Drop is broken. While you can drag a single cycle waveform into the editor, you can't drag a single cycle waveform to the wavetable editor. EDIT: To be more precise, I mean that you can make keyframes and select a single cycle waveform from the menu for each of the keyframes, but you can't do that by dragging single cycle waveforms onto the keyframes

You can only connect the output of a modulator to its fm input. Feedback other than that is not possible yet. Nevertheles, I will investigate and fix the crash.tulamide wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2024 7:29 pm Rev 15295

1) Agree, no reason to rush the "release." It's kind of "released" already. 2) Forget the granular thing if it's a big problem. 3) Regarding the DX7 patches, give us a) The DX Rhodes b) The DX basses, the original and the Super Bass (the pop/slap DX bass). c) The DX Marimba. We can get many, many many miles out of that handful of sounds, just like the producers of old did!

Update on this: Since the alpha/beta period took longer than expected, we will end "alpha/beta/intro" prices when our Summer Sale ends on September 1 -> Upgrade will be $49 after September 2 (that will hopefully be the official release date)kv331 wrote: Wed May 08, 2024 10:47 am
