EQ+ issue

They not going to fix it. As usual they call it a feature and say “it’s our vision” mantra. They still didn’t fix all parameters when modulating are all over the place (come in percent, some in steps, all go above 100)… And the issue there since v2. Because it’s their vision…

EQ+ is like a square bicycle wheel that was designed and built that way. It simply doesn’t do what a wheel needs to do.
EQ+ might be built the way it is on purpose but it is ineffective as the flagship EQ in Bitwig.

I was using a multi out drum vst (MLDrums) and found it odd how if I placed eq+ on something like the kickdrum with no tweaking it sounds waaaaayyyyy different.
Used an eq inspection tool to find there's odd phasing issues on the high mids to high frequencies.
Yet if I put something like the melda eq on it there's no change at all or even the bx focusrite console if I turn off the lfp and hfp filters
Turns out that ML Drums had main output added which caused an odd delay with the kick channel going through the main bus channel. Deleted output and suddenly it worked fine.
Also seems like ML Drums has some sort of randomization as it wont null all the time.

Hum, it is my vision too. It is much more logical this way. The automation are context dependant, this is the way it should be.vroteg wrote: Tue Oct 18, 2022 6:55 am They not going to fix it. It is like an UI, you don't want everything to be a slider. Sometimes you need a switch, sometimes a knob, sometimes a button, etc....

EQ5 is also not, but you can use it in a parallel way. This is weird. Why they even say so?

This is absolutely not what I was talking about. Some mod destination is in percent while other especially for xternal instruments in 9.99999999 veird numbering. And no, it is not external plugin problem because in bitwigs own device pain pearameters are normally displayed in correct values.Jac459 wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 2:32 pm Hum, it is my vision too. Also some modulation can go above 100% of parameter. What it does there? Who knows. Only devs. After couple of joints. I cant explain their behavior othervise...

Are you like timeshifted by a year or something? Not only is this thread a year old but the issue has been resolved for a while now.vroteg wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2024 7:27 am "as it is not a phase neutral EQ anyway"
