Here's an esoteric question:
I have a device that transmits MIDI on two channels. I want to let 1 channel through and reject all others. MIDI Filter plugin doesn't look to d the job as that just accepts/rejects a key range.
Nothing else seems obvious...
Is there some way to do this? I need one channel to go to one instrument and the second one to another...
All help appreciated!

Never mind - found MIDI Polysher.. works a treat in WF11/
Still curious if there's a built-in way, though.

https://store.songwish.ca/p/rechannel/ ==> I use this free tool to control my channels. It's very simply but effective.

You don't need a plug-in. Highlight the MIDI input for your track and get the Properties Panel up. Just above the keyboard it displays is a list of MIDI channels, 1-16. Just click the ones you don't want in order to stop messages from those channels coming through.
Always check the Properties Panel.

Jabe, ty, and also Jason_za!
It's an odd situation, but I want my MPK Mini Plus pads to drive a drone source and the keys to do melodic components.
I also have a split setup on my MPD218, with 8 pads on Channel 1 and 8 pads on Channel 10 to also drive a drone source and an atmospheric sound generator.
This mess allows me to live-perform with 4 instruments at once, kind of like a hardware jam-based setup but wit VSTs. All pads are set to toggle so layering drone and atmospheres can be done real-time.. geez I'm weird..
Another MPD218 and I could run 6 VSTi simultaneously!!! INSANITY!!!!
Yaay experimental ambient!!

Waveform has a plugin called 'midi patch bay', and a plugin rack called 'midi channel splitter', which uses midi patch bays to route/block channels. I don't understand your setup exactly, but does this help at all?

I have this on an MPK261, and it works well.
Create 2 virtual MIDI devices based on your original input. Call them MPDpads and MPDkeys.
On MPDpads, disable ALL channels but 10.
On MPDkeys, disable ONLY channel 10.
Now, on input, select MPDpads or MPDkeys as you wish.

All good info, thanks!
My setup is stable and works well, so I'm a fairly happy camper. My next challenge is determining if I can use clips to add to a live jam, but unsure of their use in an ambient session.. must experiment.
