Happy Thursday Everyone!
Here is a fun little thing I've been working on for about six months. It's a conceptual soundset where I try to bring out the dreamy sound of old - and often malfunctioning - tape recorders and vintage gear.
150 sounds for Repro-5.
NKS w/audio previews.

9.90 Euro for ten days.

Sounds lovely, shame I don't have Repro (mostly relying on Arturia and TAL for my synths)!

One thing that took me by surprise was that many people have asked me if the sounds are for Repro-1 or Repro-5.
The question made me think about a possible observation I've had in the back of my head for some time: are there two different camps regarding Repro? One that thinks Repro-1 is the best and the other think Repro-5 is the superior?
I didn't mention that the sounds are for Repro-5 because I kind of see the Repro as one unit. But maybe I am wrong thinking like that.
Which is your favourite. Repro-5 or Repro-1? Or do you also see them as one unity?

Maybe because you know in which folder you have to install the presets?
I personally would prefer Repro-5, because it seems to be overall a bit more capable and adjustable (e.g. via the 2 additional flexible mod slots). Also you can easily convert from mono/legato to poly and vice versa.

I have detailed instructions on where to put the files exactly so it can't be that.Fannon wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:25 am Maybe because you know in which folder you have to install the presets?

I think I like R5 a tad bit more because of its saturation stages. But the sequencer in R1 is awesome. It would be fantastic if they would merge into one plugin in the future.

I don't really have a favourite, but definitely see them as two different things. 5 for pads and atmospheres, 1 for bass and fx, both great.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:10 am Which is your favourite. Repro-5 or Repro-1? Or do you also see them as one unity?

I know, it's incredibly funny how these things go in cycles. Today even bad mp3 compression is in fashionapertureburn wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 5:42 pm This sounds so nice!
