Waveform 13 roadmap

Here are the plans for the next 6 - 8 months:

Waveform 3.1.x - More bug fixes. Ongoing releases.

Waveform 3.2.x - Upgrade framework to JUCE 8. This should bring improved graphics performance to Windows with Direct2D based rendering. Emoji support, you can name your tracks . But more importantly, fallback fonts will be supported, so non English text should work better. New Javascript engine with better performance, more up to date standard. End of summer release.

Waveform 3.5.x - A few small new features. Still in planning. Early 2025 release.

of course, we really hope that everything will go smoothly, but it's better to save version 13.1.2 when testing new engines, I sincerely wish you success in your plans

As a customer for 17 years and counting, I'm going to stoop to begging: please please please implement some kind of buffer underrun protection in Waveform 14. I'd switch back from Studio One if Waveform were to gain this feature.

I still purchase every upgrade to support the company, but the latency difference on input is significant between S1 w/buffer underrun and Waveform to the point I'm not willing to give it up.
