I dont think you properly understand the word 'contradict.'

Logic doesnot work with that way u describe it
You definitely dont understand the word 'logic'.

Feature Expansions in Waveform are for the Free version, and have only just been introduced with v13. They basically strip stuff out of the full version, then sell it piecemeal as DLC.
The Pro version comes with all of it.

Either way, though, paid Tracktion upgrades come out every year, and the cost has risen every year, so you're now basically on that hook even for the Free version. $50 for the CLAP support Feature Expansion next year, if you're lucky.
Mu, funnily enough, went the other way with their 'for life' option. No more upgrade costs.

No distrespect to the above but....

Please please please. No no no no. Do not use Tracktion as a model. I love the way Mutools releases software that is thought out, tested and stable.

The last time I tried Tracktion, I couldn't uninstall it fast enough - the UI was dreadful. Huge and gruesome and in your face ugly. But that was probably over 10 years ago.

Not a customer yet, been watching for years though, and 9.5 has me teetering on the edge ready to buy (To be fair, I am over the edge, but I am building a studio from the ground up and have no time to buy and learn anything just now) Tracktion on the other hand is British, so has me interested in upgrades simply because of that, but even though I was a long time Tracktion user back at its inception, I can't honestly find reasons to upgrade to these newer versions, they are very flakey.
Keep up the good work with MuTools ;)

Which updates are flakey = buggy: The Traction ones or the MuLab ones?
I guess, from the context, you mean the Tracktion ones, but i'm not sure.

He's talking about tracktion. :)

Sorry, Jo, I find Mulab so painfully stable and bug-free, I have to blow it up myself with bad plugins for some excitement. :hihi:

Please do not emulate Tracktion in anything except maybe a few of those fantastic VSTis they also bundle.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

I can't stand the arrow shaped plugin slots in tracktion, always hated that. I'd like to see a track mgr embedded in the mulab side panel, where we could have some nice big metering and maybe and handle all the routing. The track sends taking up a plugin slot is one thing I'm not fond of in mulab. All in all, my eyes are completely undisturbed by the Mulab UI though. Personally, I quite like it for the most part, I think the graphic design is very good.

*Also some additional sort options would be helpful in the plugin mngr / browser. Sort by company
name in the least. I know you can parse that Jo.

It takes me quite some time to categorize them manually, since my plugin count is way over 1000.

What about making a sketch of how you see that?

Just like to point out that I suggested enhancing the plugin manager some time ago!
