What is the correct behaviour of a Peak meter? Should there be a Peak Hold setting that holds the peak for say, 1000ms, before dropping, thus allowing you to see the highest volume without clipping? Although this quite possibly only applies to noisy recording sources, I still think it is the best and most useful way a Peak meter should work in order to evaluate without clipping.
