The best-laid plans of mice and men, eh? The release build is done, uploaded, and would have been out yesterday if it were not for the fact that Microsoft's overzealous cloud ML malware detector flagged a component used in the NSIS installer. I'm communicating with Microsoft to get it unflagged (or whatever the term is) but have decided to hold off the official release until (probably) Monday.

On saying that, if any current owners want access to the final release now, they can PM or email and I'm happy to forward the links and supply new licence details.

Although I'm exited I to put my hands on it I guess I can wait another two days. It's been so long in the making I don't want to have my party spoiled by a false alarm while installing. I want the real thing !

(But I guess it's not too early to send a PM for the new license anyway

Colin - it's such an amazing day to see it is finally up...

It took a long road from almost being ready in april 2021 until now. Thanks so much for being almost resistant to our sneering comments and working consistantly on it. Now I'm off exploring !

Choosing noise as a modulation source for filter frequency for any of the 'DL' filter types +high resonance will result in horrible clipping and crackles
Watch your ears and speakers ?
Colin what kind of filters did you use , biquads for the regular ones ?

If you want to tone down noise modulation in such case, I'd recommend running it through a lag generator. This will slew the noise, generally making it a more palatable modulation source. I've heard some nice presets where people have used raw audio rate noise modulation on the filters to good effect, though.

Why is the default filter so dull when fully open and with zero resonance ?
incrementing the resoance with value 1 makes it so much brighter .

The short story is, that's the characteristics of the filter I emulated. The long story is the same as the short story, but also the fact that backwards compatibility makes it difficult to change things, even if I would now have emulated things differently.
