Hello
A total overhaul has been going on for some time on tracktion website and I notice that the link which led to this KVM forum is no longer available. Should I conclude that it will be even more complicated to communicate with the developers when I see the horror that has now been put in place for support. I sincerely wonder if in this team there is not a common desire to scare away users and potential users.

The recent level of communication on here from Figbug suggests not. I haven't looked at the horror you mention.
It should be expected that for most of the second half of the year, and probably more, the devs will be working on next year's new release.

I recently haven't looked at the "horror" you call it either, but using a bug report form will actually ensure that each bug report will be properly registered so that the developers can work through them.
Here on the forum they instead would have to spend a lot of time following all threads, even if they in the end might be usual user to user communication or as bug reports not providing the basic necessary information (which operating system, which version, etc.). In my opinion it is much better for the developers to concentrate on bugs having been communicated properly, and a bug report form guides the user to accomplish this. Also, private communication addresses are then right away exchanged. They would also have the chance to smash bugs reported by paying customers with priority, if they would apply such policy (I do not know what their policy is).
All in all, having this KVR forum as a user-to-user communication channel, and separate from it having an official bug report reception address, to me seems perfectly fine and also the usual way to proceed where business is involved.

Tracktion has very few people working for them, and fewer still working full-time all the time, as I understand it.
One of the results of that is that they're more focused on working on Tracktion stuff (or other projects to pay the bills) and have less time to post on a forum. This means communication has become very sporadic and infrequent.
But the forum is by no means abandoned by Tracktion.

This forum is not an official support channel, however, there is a lot of good content here and engaged users, so I try and stay on top of it. Can't guarantee I read everything. Sometimes I'm more active, sometimes I'm less active depends what else I'm working on.

I appreciate all your hard work surrounding Waveform. I can see opening support tickets for technical issues but I hate to burden them with feature requests so any communication we have here can be a bonus for all involved.FigBug wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 3:16 pm This forum is not an official support channel, however, there is a lot of good content here and engaged users, so I try and stay on top of it.
