Eventually, I’ll add Spectravox too, but not now. That’s one I wouldn’t mind getting on a really good used deal based on how I think I’d use it.

Bunker Archeology is pretty much what I was hoping for, the reverb version of the dirty Strega/Bruxa delay.
Except that where Make Noise designs are well refined, controls carefully tweaked so the knob ranges and response curves all feel "right" and musical, etc... .this one is punk through and through.
It's a module for taking sound apart, and then maybe you can put it back together with other modules/plugins kintsugi style. I've already got some beautiful recordings out of it that way, and I'm keeping it for sure.
The idea of grabbing Box of Angels too just got more appealing, even though I've had some pretty good success with parallel steep bandpass stuff in VCV. I'm probably going to be making a few other modules prove their worthiness over the next few weeks to decide whether to make space.

I'm hoping to buy a second computer or a portable DAW to use mostly for recording while I use a different one as a synth. Or maybe a sequencer would be nice to trigger one computer as a synth and record into the other one. Old school techniques feel good to me with a modern spin.

Happened to be in the neighborhood, so I stopped by Guitar Center Saturday and what do you know, they now stock Prophet 5 and 10. They also had an Oberheim OB-X8 that I played. Didn't really like the vanilla sounds it makes nor all the waisted space on the panel. What I really wanted to try they didn't have, the TEO-5, Sonic State reviewed it and I love the sounds. I don't know where I would put it exactly but I think I would like it more than the Pro 3.
edit- just ordered a new pair of support arms for my A-frame stand - I can move the 2600 over.

One thing I notice with having multiple delay effects is how good everything sounds in those few seconds after you stop a looped recording where everything burbles and trails away. Using a second PC to record that would be overkill I guess.mjolnir wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2024 3:15 am I'm hoping to buy a second computer or a portable DAW to use mostly for recording while I use a different one as a synth. You can use audacity to record your daw as it is live instead of how it records. I have done that with cakewalk exc... You don't have to have a different computer to do that.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 11:30 amOne thing I notice with having multiple delay effects is how good everything sounds in those few seconds after you stop a looped recording where everything burbles and trails away. I ordered a DecadeBridge Sn before I even finished watching the video.
Lo-fi FM drones? Cheap? When I'm having a moment of weakness? Count me in! The cover image is exactly right.
(I'm telling myself, with this for the lo-fi angle and lots of other FM available in my hardware/software, maybe I really well sell my Akemie's Castle this time, justifying the purchase. That's probably a lie, but it's a fun lie.)
