4Front Bass & Piano - Render problem - Known Issue?

I was wondering if this is a unique problem on my system or if it is a known issue.

Seems like whenever I use the wonderful 4Front Piano VSTi or the 4Front Bass VSTi, when I do an 'export' stereo mix render, those instruments are out of tune in the rendered mix.

I've tried the realtime mode option, as well as normalized and not normalized modes with the same results.

Any insights here??

Thanks,
Mike from The Coffeehouse 8)

I don't know if this is of any help but I find when I get rendering abnormalities with Sampletank 2XL the solution is to extend the midi clip forward one bar. To do this you have to create another clip, place it before the clip that isn't rendering properly and merge the two. It seems that this extra bar of silence gives Sampletank 2 the time to respond properly when rendering a clip/edit. I don't have any of the 4 Front VSTI's but this issue seems similar to what I get with Sampletank sometimes.

Hope this helps :)

Not sure about this one but the first thing I would try is to "render at x1 speed"
See if that helps.

Tried that Andrew - The same thing occurs. I wonder if it has to do with the original edit being at 24/48k then rendering down to 16/44.1??

Have any of you tracktioneers using these 4Front plugs experienced the same thing I have?

Oh, also - Steve, DJ - I will try your suggestions.

Ahhhh .... now you tell us?

Are you using any wave files that were recorded at 48Khz?
If so you can not open them in 44.1 Khz enviroment.

If this is the case then 4Front Piano is not the one out of tune but the rather the wave files.

You will need to convert them before importing them into Tracktion
or
You will need to set up your audio card and Tracktion to 48KHz sampling rate.

No, I started the edit file from scratch with a midi file that I then dragged v-instruments (including 4Front Piano and bass) onto the various tracks. The edit file was initally set to 48k/24bit. No wav's were imported into the edit. I rendered the whole thing down to 44.1/16 bit.

This has happened to me in other edits using the cool 4 Front piano.

Tracktion converts 48k sessions (w/ 48k wav's) as it renders down to 44.1/16bit 'export' mixdown, no?

Just to make sure.
If you open the ASIO control panel of the sound card right now, is the sampling set to 44.1 Khz?
