Hi

I've been playing with MSuperLooper for the last couple of days and I have to say this is an amazing plugin! Sooo many awesome features very smartly implemented and good structure of the UI. It's by far the best looper plugin out there. But there's one feature that I really miss, one that would be extremely useful for creative purposes: the ability to play a recorded loop at half/quarter/double speed (so one octave down, two octaves down, one octave up respectively) like you get in Audio Damage's Enso looper. So, Vojtech, please please please add this feature!

And I also have a question: where does MSuperLooper keeps the recorded audio data? Is there some temp folder somewhere? If I record some loops inside MSuperLooper and I dont's save that project in my DAW, will all that recorded data be automatically deleted when I close the DAW or it will remain somewhere on my harddisk?

Cheers

I'd also love to see this in MSuperLooper - would open up so many new creative possibilities!

I think the audio that you record into MSuperLooper is stored in the project file of your sequencer (others may be able to correct me if I'm wrong here)? I've definitely noticed the file size of my Reaper projects becomes massive when I save a session with loops in it. If you don't save the project, I think it just gets automatically deleted.

There is another location which on Windows is

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MeldaProduction\MSuperLooper

that's where files go when you drag-and-drop them onto your sequencer's timeline.

Indeed!

Yes, it looks like that's how it works. I did some tests and it seems that MSL keeps all the recorded data in RAM until you save the project and then it stores all that data in the project file.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I can confirm that this feature (half/doble speed ...) is quite high on our to-do list for MSuperLooper.

Excellent! Very happy to hear this!

And while we're at it, I have another feature request which I'm pretty sure it's relatively easy to implement and it will make the whole experience of using MSL muuuch better: please enable the use of the scrollwheel when the mouse is over the tracks! At the moment the scrollwheel works ONLY when the mouse is over the scrollbar. And this becomes suuuuper annoying and frustrating when you have many tracks enabled and you want to quickly scroll through them. Ideally, the scrollwheel should work when the mouse is over these two areas I marked in red, not just over the scrollbar:

Cheers!

Yes, you was right, this one is super easy and I'm surprised it was not enabled in MSL:-) I have added scrolling w/ mouse wheel to all tracks, of course except the gain and panorama paramaters. So you can expect it in the next update. Thanks for this tip.

I saw a post somewhere on this forum that a change was made to disable screen scrolling because a parameter was unintentionally changed by the scroll wheel or trackpad swipe.
Screen scrolling by Cmd + scroll after clicking on an empty area of the screen is still enabled in MSuperLoope too.
It should be a toggle option, or it may not be what the original requestor intended.

You are right, track scrolling with Ctrl key on PC and with cmd key on macOS is actually possible. And I can imagine enabling it by default without modificatins keys may not be wise for some users. So it will probably stay as it is, or we can add switch for this if it is requested feature.

Why? I really don't see how this may not be wise for some users. Keep in mind that this being a looper plugin will be used mostly for live performances and in those scenarios the musicians usually have an instrument or a midi controller in their hands so needing both hands for such a basic task (scrolling) is completely undesirable.

Yes, if you don't want to implement this by default, then please add an option in the settings so the users can enable the scrolling without the modification key.

If you read post from ystrmk above, then you know on good example why it is disabled by default. Anyway,I will add toggle option for this to MSL, so everybody will be happy:-)
