But of course The Legend HZ has its own character.ghostwhistler wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 2:26 pm Also; what can HZ The Legend do that HZ The Zebra Legacy can't? If anything?
Or perhaps vice versa!
Even though they share the HZ in their names they really are two different synths.
I would say this is a case where owning both would make perfect sense or if the individual can only justify the purchase of one choosing which speaks to them better sonically.
The Legend HZ by Synapse Audio now available!

Sound identical to a minimoog (in as much as software can) ?ghostwhistler wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 2:26 pm Also; what can HZ The Legend do that HZ The Zebra Legacy can't? If anything?
ZebraHZ isn't a minimoog clone.
As for vice versa, too much to even list. Totally different beasts.
How original

I thought the UAD moog sounded very much like a real moog.seafire wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 4:01 pmSound identical to a minimoog (in as much as software can) ?ghostwhistler wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 2:26 pm Also; what can HZ The Legend do that HZ The Zebra Legacy can't? If anything?
This legend HZ sounds more like a mood that's been recorded well and has nice FX applied. The sum of its parts is really very good.

I very much doubt they are cheap...!Nicolau wrote: Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:04 pm Whatever that Zimmer guy touches turns into a noise machine for cheap, gloomy sound tracks.
Personally I think it's great he's pushed some small software instrument to make better products that they, and we, can benefit from. Afaik he's not even out there trying to get a cut from it.
