It's still spectral since it affects only part of the spectrum. It just doesn't determine automatically which part of the spectrum to duck like TrackSpacer.Dark Fiber wrote: Sat May 30, 2020 11:03 am Why is Equalizer 4 advertised as having "spectral sidechaining" when it can't do what Trackspacer and Smart:comp can do?
What is spectral about the sidechain functionality in EQ4?![]()

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Overall TB Eq4 is still one of the very Best around.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Yep, it’s pretty much the only equalizer of that type I need. Does everything I want. Although nowadays I mostly use it for dynamic eq purposes as I tend to use less and less graphical equalizers.

Hello Just wanted to update my previous posts about my issues with EQ4's GUI. Since the current release these issues have been addressed and all is well. Just wanted to let the developer know that his efforts are appreciated.
A great Eq made better, Thanks.

Was reading about the circuit drive and curious if I boost +3 in the circuit drive area, does that +3 need to be adjust elsewhere or is it automatically corrected within the plugin?

The circuit drive is super subtle, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. Each band does have a gain compensation toggle, but i dont think it applies to the circuit drive. That said, Jeroen generally gain comps his saturation effects in his other plugins so i assume it applies here as well.Tha kyng wrote: Fri Jul 19, 2024 3:31 am Was reading about the circuit drive and curious if I boost +3 in the circuit drive area, does that +3 need to be adjust elsewhere or is it automatically corrected within the plugin?
