The problem with attack/decay or start/end is that the min/max range is not fixed because the samples are of different lengths. I will see if something can be done without it being too complex to implement, but I can't promise when it will be.Thomaz wrote: Tue May 28, 2024 2:35 pm When I select multiple layers in the layer editor and change the attack/decay envelope in the waveform window, Speedrum doesn't apply the changes to all layers, only to the one that's currently in the waveform window.
Would it be possible to change that so that all layers would be affected?
Speedrum updated to 2.4.0

I often import multiple layers of drum samples onto a pad ( they roughly have the same length ) and experiment with different decay envelopes. Implementing a way to affect all layers at once would be a tremendously useful feature.apisonic wrote: Wed May 29, 2024 10:58 amThe problem with attack/decay or start/end is that the min/max range is not fixed because the samples are of different lengths. Hi there!
Read about Speedrum a while ago on Gearspace already, and now that NI have completely messed up Battery 4 (at least on silicon-macOS, which is what I'm using...), I thought I'd have a look for alternatives.
So, I downloaded Speedrum Lite for a start. Quite impressive for a freebie, could even do complete percussive tracks with it, so there's that. Would peak my interest in Speedrum some more.
But: in case it doesn't find the samples I used, it'll make Logic hang while opening the project. No way to even remotely get the project opened again, the only option being to delete the component file.
Ok, I know that a) this is the lite version, b) it's at V1.x rather than at V2.x (such as its big sibling). But I'd really like to know whether this is the same with the full version, because in that case, I think it needed to be adressed. Missing samples should always trigger whatever kind of sample relocating dialog (ideally with some options to get through the process quicker, such as "use folder" and what not).
Cheers.

The Lite version has a very primitive search system for missing samples, unlike the full version where the system is much more sophisticated, with the option of intelligent manual search.Sascha Franck wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:15 am Hi there!

Thanks. But what I'm wondering is whether it'll still cause Logic to hang (it's not exactly crashing, just causing the beachball of death) in case it's not finding samples. Because, quite obviously, before I can tell Speedrum to search (using whatever method), the project needs to load properly, so I can actually operate Speedrum.apisonic wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 12:44 pm The Lite version has a very primitive search system for missing samples, unlike the full version where the system is much more sophisticated, with the option of intelligent manual search.

For the full version, I haven't had a report of such a problem yet.
But as I mentioned the search systems are very different, the full version has a completely new system written from scratch.

Ok. Would be great in case someone could check things out. Thing is, NI's Battery 4 has massive issues relocating missing samples, too - but only when using it in silicone-native mode on M-series Macs, so perhaps something's related?apisonic wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 1:03 pm For the full version, I haven't had a report of such a problem yet.

Hey guys,
is there a way to use a midi controller with rotary encoders to adjust:
- Pad Volume (so I can use 1 knob for the pad's volume when selected, not 1 knob per pad as it seems to be now...)
- Pad Pan
- Pad Pitch
- Start and end point of the sample that is loaded onto the pad
I can do some MIDI learn stuff pretty easy in Studio One like linking a volume button of let's say PAD 1 to my controller, but that's only PAD 1 so useless to be honest. Studio One also does see some midi coming in when I'm trying to link the start and end poins to my controller, but nothing happens in the plugin when I turn the knobs.
Last thing: when I go through the sample browser and I select a sample to load onto the pad with ENTER, I have to click the browser part of the screen again with my mouse to scroll through to maybe try another sound. This seems small but it is annoying cause this way I can't only use my MIDI controller to scroll through the sounds again after I have hit ENTER. In other drum plugins this is not a problem, seems like a bug?
Anybody knows anything?

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what you're talking about.Skiggy1 wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 5:45 am Last thing: when I go through the sample browser and I select a sample to load onto the pad with ENTER, I have to click the browser part of the screen again with my mouse to scroll through to maybe try another sound. Can you explain in more detail, or make a video? And in which other plugin does it work as you think it should?

Would be great to Save SEQ "Pattern Banks" - so far i can just save single Patterns right ?
And be able to lock the SEQ when loading / changing Kits - so switching Kits while having the same SEQ playing - would be smooth.

Yeah, I'll add something like that for surekoochey wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2024 7:29 pm Would be great to Save SEQ "Pattern Banks" - so far i can just save single Patterns right ?
At the bottom of the browser, you have a toggle to load the seq state or notkoochey wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2024 7:29 pm And be able to lock the SEQ when loading / changing Kits - so switching Kits while having the same SEQ playing - would be smooth.
