Sound Author wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 12:02 am In my defense, when you click on "Download Factory Content", a window opens up and very much appears to be looking for a file to open...since the two buttons say Cancel and Open. That looks like you're supposed to OPEN something, not choose a file location.
I wish that this was different too, but it's the way that the standard folder selection dialogs work. I'm glad you're up and running now!

I think Korg Software Pass is still messed up for me on the east coast. However, I was able to download the newest update. It won't let me login via the Korg ID website though.

Yeah it threw me initially also. It really does look like an open file dialog.

I have bought it but i cant use it . I used the software pass, registered a new product with my code , and there is always that pop up who ask for authorization , i press : "activate" and "verify" but it says : no licence found.

I think that this is due to the Crowdstrike problem. You can try using the "Refresh" command in Korg Software Pass, in the menu that appears when you click on your account in the upper left corner. This is a drag, I agree!

Even the offline registration doesnt work. My software is registered in software pass (clicked refresh) but validation failed. Ho well. I'll try tomorrow.

And just like that my Demo turned into a full version (after attempting to do so almost all day)..
So yes things are slowly beginning to work properly.

It sounds amazing, but the UI will need an update eventually. There's simply too much going on with a 2600 to comfortably use it at 100%. I'm hunched over my desk squinting to see the controls, and sizes above 100% are really blurry.

I'm glad that you're appreciating the sound!

I'm wondering if there is a problem on non-HiDPI/"retina" monitors, or if we need to do something to provide for other resolution-scaling systems. Are you using Windows or macOS? What's the monitor's resolution?

The link below is a screen-shot at 100% in HiDPI, in which the plug-in window is 3,212 × 1,922 pixels - intended to mostly fill a 4k monitor. (If you view the image on the web, on a HiDPI monitor, set the scaling - in the upper right corner - to 50%).

At 1x resolution, the plug-in window is 1,606 × 961, which again will mostly fill an HD monitor. So, if 100% is too small, I'm wondering what's going on. Maybe we need a way to manually switch between 1x and HiDPI assets.

I have KC4 with $99 upgrade price to KC5 and I see they have a 50% off sale right now. Anyone got an idea if it likely be cheaper to upgrade over Black Friday?
Thanks for naming this, I wasn't aware there was an ongoing "sale" now. So is the upgrade 49.5$ now?

I have never seen sales under 50% from korg if that's worth something for you.

EDIT: I looked now on the PC. There is no ongoing SALE for updating from v4 to v5.

I'm having the same blurry imaging on the Arp 2600 as well.

I have a Dell 3440x1440 monitor. I'm using Ableton 12, Windows 10. I've turned off the scaling that Ableton does. In the screenshot you can see the issue that happens:

The Arp 2600 interface has blurry/fuzzy text, but the text on the effects section seems to be fine, and the parameter tabs and navigation seem to be okay too. I have it zoomed at 120%.

It seems like it should be possible to scale *down* the HiDPI version, rather than scaling *up* the low-resolution version. So, rather than viewing the 1,606 × 961 version at 120%, you'd use the 3,212 × 1,922 version at 60% - see the screenshot below. I'll look into this next week.

Using a 3440x1440 Samsung ultrawide with macoS Ventura. 100% looks fine, but anything larger than that is very blurry. 100% just isn't big enough for me. The 2600 is a beast with a lot of controls and anything under 120% makes programming a squinty, honched over the desk literal pain in the neck.

Same here. I did some digging and found 9 licenses in <User>/Application Support /KORG/Collection/CP/licenses.txt which corresponds to the 9 licenses listed in Korg Software Pass under "Registered Products", including the ARP 2600 (I also have some other collection stuff plus wavestate native and opsix native).

So all the licenses seem to be present in the license file. I also clicked "Refresh" to let KSP rebuild it. But the problem persists.

Could it be that I have been issued a faulty license since the ARP 2600 software does not seem to recognise/accept it?

It’s $99 right now, which doesn’t seem to be part of the 50% off sale, just trying to find out if the upgrade might be cheaper on Black Friday.
