There are places where the underlying rhythmic structure emerges but it's mostly a mess.
Thanks for listening! "Way worth the effort" is what I aim for. Of course, you take from it what you bring with you.CrystalWizard wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:55 am A long, late night, journey, way worth the effort, for me.
This basically describes my entire existence! Thanks for trying!burkek wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 1:47 pm Unlistenable really. Just blips and beeps. No structure. Annoying.
I love you
There's another 40mins of these recordings and there are some really great bits to pull from them. When listening to the individual tracks (this recording consists of 7 tracks), it's probably more obvious how the sounds can be used on their own. This was just a few minutes where the sounds kinda coalesced together.elxsound wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:04 pm Some great sounds. Definitely heard something around the 6:20 mark which could be fun to build off of, that sounded like call/response type interaction.
A fantastic read!elxsound wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:04 pm Reminds me that my Microsound book arrived, but haven’t had the chance to start reading it. Make Noise mentioned maybe doing another video on that too.
I think the underlying tempo is likely a lot higher than that but it's all relative.
I was wondering if that was the case.justin3am wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 6:33 pm I think the underlying tempo is likely a lot higher than that but it's all relative.![]()
I love you too, buddy! These sounds/sequences come from very simple/primitive circuits but with lots of chaotic interactions. So it's all deterministic, but the relationships are probably difficult to "hear". For example, there are 4 sequences of gates, which run at related rates but they interrupt/reset each other. A sound might use one of those gate sequences to trigger the sound, and the other sequence to change the pitch of the sound. I'd love to spend more time exploring feedback sequencing like that, perhaps it's worth discussing in a video at some point.runagate wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 6:25 pm

Great fun listening at work trying to reverse engineer what the listed modules do by ear
Oh man that sounds awesome! I had similar plans for some of those bass groans.Uncle E wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 8:07 pm Remix:
