Exactly.
Using the VST3 version in Bitwig, you set the per voice Pitch Bend range within Bitwig, and you set the global range in the plugin using the Pitch Bend up/down menu. By not setting it to MPE in the plugin, you can freely choose a global range.

As we noted in the general instructions, the best setup might vary depending on your DAW, your MPE controller and the plugin format you are using. You can always try out different settings if you are unsure, you won't break anything. :)

Ok, thanks so much for the response. In my case I'm using a Seaboard and soon a Loom.

So I think my misundertsanding came from not realizing that Bitwig has a "PB range" parameter in the inspector. Would setting the pitch bend range in u-he plugins to "MPE"
hardwire the pitch bend to a constant? Or would it just set it to whatever that value was set at the incoming value set by the keyboard and filtered by Bitwig?

Good to know I can't break anything! but it's also not super easy sometimes to accurately hear what I'm doing.

Once I finally comprehend how this works, I think I'll make a flow chart to clarify :)

Yes. If you set the plugin's Pitch Bend Up/Down to MPE when using the VST3, then the global range will be hardwired to +/- 2 semitones.

Thanks! That was the last piece to the puzzle for me, so appreciate it!

It would be amazing to have two more modulation slots in Repro. I'm also curious about the UI stuff you mentioned. Hopefully this beta is coming soon. :tu: Is there any information on the current status?

No ETA for a Repro beta yet. There are quite a few things we need to fix or polish first.

Damn.

I bought a LinnStrument, so I grabbed the Linux builds of Bazille, ACE, Hive, and DIVA from here. All of them are working as advertised on Reaper 7.16 and Bitwig 5.1.9 using CLAP, and partially tested on Ardour with VST3. I did get a stuck note on Hive while swapping a modulation target while playing. I have not been able to reproduce it and will report it if I can.

Urs, I imagine that the whole mono/legato discussion inspires vomiting by now, but I'll toss in my opinion. The solution that you suggested in the following post works perfectly for me:

viewtopic.php?p=8071156#p8071156

It's easy enough to set up in Reaper and in Bitwig, and it's even useful in poly mode on LinnStrument (for instance: hold down a bass note and play some treble line with a slide. It's absolutely musically usable). I think it would be great to have a switch on the GUI for when browsing patches.

Oh crap, I understand what the problem is. Never mind on that stuff. My apologies for the noise

Urs wrote: Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:17 pm OTOH we also first want to be 100% sure that ACE/Baz/Diva/Hive work with all of it. So I guess we were also kind of hoping for more hosts to support PolyMod.

Now that Zebralette is on a good path (loads of niggles and improvements though...) and even Uhbik has reached internal milestones, maybe we'll sit down and see where Repro fits in some time soon.

Makes sense to do things in this order!

I just recently got Repro and I'm really impressed by its tonal quality and musicality. If it gets two more mod slots that would indeed be a very good enhancement! I find the new ModMatrices very easy to use / grasp and like their flexibility. Having CLAP / MPE in the future would also be very welcome, but I understand that this will take some more time. Having a beta before that would be nice.

Is the upcoming beta already "in reach" or did you mean by "soon" that it will be after Zebralette and Uhbik milestones?
