Here's something odd. I've bought the UAD Ampex 102 from one of the vendors that frequently posts here. Everything fine and dandy, downloaded, installed and authorised.

The weird bit is I've got an email from UAD entitled "Claim your FREE native UAD plugin". Is that because it thinks I bought a licence for a non native version and is now telling me that there is a native version I'm entitled to?

Same here. I just replied to the email and told them that I had already purchased the plugin last night.

It's been confirmed on GS that it's a rather dumb marketing email that thinks now you have the non-native version you can grab the native version for free. Nothing is being offered for free here, some money has to leave your wallet!

So I bought the Inphonik RX1200 bundle at APD...

https://audioplugin.deals/product/rx-bu ... -inphonik/

It's fun and ok, tho I think $20 is about the right price for it. In the least it's a no hassle alternative to my S2400...

*These are the regular versions btw, no loopcloud or whatever, no copy protection,
sendowl delivery...

*I finally got A-EQ from Sonimus after about a year of waiting, as the price dropped
down to $39 ( for the 1st 15 orders only, supposedly  ) Anyway, I relented an
snagged one of the 15 I guess. Great EQ at any rate... :tu:

RPE2 is wonderful. I'm selling my Torso T-1 because I like RPE2 better.

Good deal. Usually you only get RX1200 for this price.

Inphonik is working on the 1.1 update for RX1200 btw. That update should make this deal even better.

I paid $14.50 for RX1200. I'd rather have paid $20 for both.

I do quite like the sampler the more I use it.
I haven't gotten much use out of the converter as yet...

That must have been the PA deal. I had to pay 21% VAT on top of that. Still a nice price. But I probably won't use RX1200 until the 1.1 update arrives. At the moment I rather use Maschine's S1200 engine or waveTracing's SP950.

What's planned for the 1.1 update? I've always been interested in this but not confident I'd use it much.

I don't know the details, but sample management and also a copy/duplicate feature have been mentioned by them.

A 'missing sample dialogue' is one of the requests I sent them half a year ago.

Other requests I sent them:

I'd like to be able to use the faders to set the start and end locators of the sample editor, so it would be like you're operating the SP12/SP1200.

And when I play a pad by MIDI, RX1200 should automatically show the parameters and wave view of that pad, not those of the pad that was mouse clicked before. It is rather confusing to hear the sound of one pad and see the parameters and wave view of another pad.

Hoping these are all added to the update.

Can someone explain why would someone buy this if the upgrade to the latest version is over 250? (if I remember correctly).

There are lots of users that do not need the latest version.
I have a friend who is still on V5 and happy.
And a V8 with such a bunch of instruments for only $59.99 is definitely a no brainer...
