Are there any more planned updates for EVE? I am wondering because you have given it away with computer music so I would like to know what 'paid' customers are likely to get in return. Or is that it for EVE?

Are they giving away the full version? I thought it was a scaled-down version that CM is giving away. But I can understand your attitude. Every time any store puts old stock on sale I go in and roll my eyes. Also, when some product is given away as a promotional deal, I do the same thing. Why weren't they thinking only of me?

It's version 1.24 and only 32 presets but you can save/load more including the extra soundsets but you don't get the upgrades like we do. I'm just interested in what updates us fully paid up EVE users can look forward to.

Hmmmm, wasn't sure what to make of this when I saw the new CM mag today with CM EVE on the cover disc :? I guess we'll have the update with the new filter effect - which hopefully won't be too long away.

Shif.

Ah, I see. When you said "in return" and rolled your eyes it sounded to me like you think you're owed something. I pretty much consider EVE to be a finished product (except for soundsets) and I'm happy that I paid for it, even if others get it for free. I don't need any more functionality in it, myself, but I guess others do.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am more than impressed with EVE, but I would have been happier if the CM version wasn't so near the full version in terms of features. This is my only gripe and I hope that Dash sell more EVE 1.4's and soundsets from this givaway but I do know that alot of people won't be worried about support and updates and would just buy the Sounds instead. Mind you, either way, I'm sure that Liqih will make from this and good luck to him. :)

Hi Guys, I didn't received a copy of CM mag yet,
but it should say that only who actually bought EVE will have free upgrade till version 2,

1.4 already features the limiter and the freely movable Data folder, and going to V2 you'll have the new filter module and other small but usefull features,

moreover the CM EVE has only 14 SoundSets from the default library

news: in January I'll release the Mellotron set
for EVE, this mellotron is sampled with very long loops to keep the original tape feel, doing the presets myself these day,
amazing organic pads!

BTW Happy New Year!

And a Happy New Year to you Liqih :D

The CM version of EVE can use the free famous keys volume 1 from wusik (?) so that makes it rather good! On a different note, how do you save presets? Does it just overwrite the preset you have open (and I have read the manual!).

you can load any extra library, even the HSQ series,

about presets, the internal menu is used ONLY
to load banks and to set the default bank to use on load = "SavePresets" voice

to save single presets and other custom banks as files you must use the VST format FXP and FXB like your VST host features

For some reason if I save a preset in Logic Audio (on PC) through it's own save procedure (not eve's), when I load the preset EVE makes no sound! All of the velocity settings have gone to zero and the keyboard splits are at zero too. Tried several times and it's always the same. Works fine in Tracktion though!

does it work in Logic if you save a whole song?
is the preset back correctly when you open the song?

thanks

Ah, that worked! Thanks for the tip. Lovely synth, I have been trying to record a song for ages and just couldn't get a decent pad sound - EVE did it in minutes! I can't imagine what you could put in EVE 2, but here's a couple of ideas:

a way to step through the presets without clicking on the menu then presets (just always easier when you are searching for a sound): stronger flanger and rotary effects + add a distortion. Maybe a reverb as an option in the effects too, useful if you can't use the multiple out version.

Hi, welcome and thanks,

yes EVE 2 surely will have better and more effects,

EVE 1.4 already has a direct access to menu for preset
