Last night I got back to the idea I had of making an environmental ambient piece from my field recording in Jamaica in the early morning during a light rain. I'm going to add synthesizer pads with a pair of reverbs, I liked how Raum worked with Shimmer. Shimmer doesn't really do it by itself.

That was a great videoShabdahbriah wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 3:27 amBeen waiting for this one:elxsound wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:50 pmTiming in is there!Constructed Identity wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 4:29 pm Yea, I noticed that they don't have a timing in and was wondering if that would be frustrating syncing it with other vcos in a euro rack. It’s actually pretty cool, because there are 2 ways for global tempo, either via MIDI in, or the Trigger input. Also, if timing in from MIDI, it’s very easy to change the timing in multiples or division.
But, there’s also separate clock inputs for each sequencer, so it becomes even more fun with different clock tempos.
Also, I caved and ordered a Spectravox. Hope you’re still liking yours!
I also have a 60 hp Moog case coming, with new 3 tier stands. So, I’ll augment the Make Noise desktops/Moog station with some modules, but still haven’t decided what will work best yet.
And very good timing. Just got my 2nd stand.
Still not hooked up yet, but I’ll have that done later today.

Thank you!
The downside is that I lost a spot for BlueBox, but I’m heavily considering adding the eurorack BlueBox and a 2nd Bela Gliss.

Added the power from a 4ms Pod to the unpowered Moog case. I drilled a couple holes and it works nicely.
The downside is that now I ave an extra 4hp and can’t figure out what to do with.
I have another Bela Gliss and the eurorack BlueBox coming during the week, but still not sure what’s going to work best for this setup.

The case I ordered is backordered
so I spent the weekend playing the synths I have...
Made new, custom presents for 3rd Wave, Prologue, and even the STVC. Made a nice pad with a slow attack for the ambient piece I'm working on with the Prologue. That and the 3rd Wave came with presets ranging from really good to obviously rushed and the range of possibilities on both are such that I will die before exploring everything. Probably.

I have been preparing a few sounds for a little movie I will start to get into the box tomorrow and the next days.
I am exited about the work on both, the picutres and the music for it.

I've been especially inspired the last few days. Today I recorded the intro and final track for the next album.
Have been planning a vacation and looking for music shops to visit on the way
But it looks like it'll just be a dulcimer shop in Gatlinburg for my wife and a visit to Moogseum for me.

This is like a blog.
Had a great time completing my environmental ambient piece I've just titled: Jamaica Morning Rain. It's weird how well short bits of sound like drips go with long analog synth pads.
Want to buy a Moog Muse for the stereo filter selection, but realized I can do the same type of thing on my 3rd Wave by using multitimbrality and panning each hard left/right so I made a few patches like this.

I'm a heretic but I don't especially want a QMMG.

Before they announced it, I purposely never looked into it because I didn’t want to lust after something only available for 2k and up.
