Are you using SM2 to do this? Not sure why, but this is I got my expansions into SM3. Kinda confusing and would be very frustrating if one didn't own SM2 as well.

I just added downloading SM1/SM2 expansion functionality into SM3. I think for user experience, this would be much better (will be in the next update)

Hi guys, we have a new update for SynthMaster 3: Rev 15420
With this update, restoring SM1/SM2 expansions inside SM3 is now possible (SM1 and SM2 should still be installed in your system, that is a requirement)

Here's the changelog:

1. NEW: Added preset preview properties
2. NEW: SynthMaster 3 now restores expansions for SynthMaster One and SynthMaster 2
3. NEW: Granular oscillator can now load single samples as well
4. FIX: Panic button is not working correctly
5. FIX: SynthMaster 3 might crash when opening a DAW project that has a SM3 preset that's missing Layer 1 (first layer is Layer 2 or higher)
6. FIX: SynthMaster 3 might crash when switching between presets
7. FIX: SynthMaster 3 might crash when init preset is called after a preset is loaded
8. FIX: Built-in keybaord doesn't work for the standalone version of SynthMaster 3 (Windows)

BTW, just a reminder: For those of you who are considering upgrading to SynthMaster 3: Our $29 intro price for upgrade is ending on September 1, and on September 2 we are releasing SynthMaster 3. We kept this intro price for too long, to keep our promise to our users

Maybe I am missing a step.. but all my synthmaster One banks do not appear in SM3.
What do I need to do that I haven't?

Hi Richard,

Do you see the following folder(s):

Mac: /users/shared/synthmasterone/presets
Win: c:/users/public/public documents/synthmasterone/presets

if not you might be running an older version of SM1

You only have 1 registered email, right?

This could be a version mismatch issue, let me test this.

EDIT 1: If you download them with SM3, SM1 complains that the bank versions are higher than expected. Looks like it is time to update SM1 soon.

EDIT 2: I downloaded all of the SM1 banks with SM1 v1.5.4, SM3 loaded them without any issue.

Could you please send some of those banks to me via email so I can test further.(the ones ending with .smpb)

Hi, I will.. So you know I haen't redownloaded any of the banks.
They were downloaded with SM1..
I actually am not even sure how to download them with SM3 and maybe that is the part that is missing for me.
But I will email you the SM1 banks via email.

Interestingly, they show up fine on PC not Mac.
Let me copy the PC folder with the banks to the Mac and see if that makes a difference.

edit: nope.. copying pc folder of presets to mac didnt' solve it.
Mac is Mac Silicon running 14.6.1 and Cubase 13.

I tested on both PC and Mac (download expansions with SM1, SM3 shows them correctly), I can NOT reproduce so far. No issues. I will check if anything is different with the bank file you sent me.

Can't be that, cause I then copied the ones that work on PC to my Mac and it didn't work there either..

Where in SM3 does one add the expansions? I know how to do it in SM One and 2, (right click over Bank, restore expansions) but dont' have that option in SM3.
