Yeah, for reference I am the person (and reason) why Minimal Audio changed their license transfer policy.

I wouldn't say I am 100% the reason why they changed it, but rather just updated and specified the details.

I bought Cluster Delay from another person. Everything went well and I had it in my account for some time. The transfer process was indeed easy - the seller just put my email in and then it was transferred to me.

After some time I thought that I didn't need it anymore and wanted to sell it. I tried looking up the transfer policy, but I have only seen the "6 months" waiting requirement and didn't remember anything about the "single transfer policy". In fact, even today, It still doesn't clearly say that a license transferred from another user is non-transferrable - https://www.minimal.audio/support

I tried making a transfer and the website said "Activation Already Transferred". So I emailed them.
I have bought Cluster Delay from someone who transferred it to me. Now I want to transfer it to another person, because I don't need it. The website says "Activation Already Transferred". I have read through everything and it didn't say that 2nd hand licenses were untransferrable.
I asked them to transfer my license to the user's email.

After a couple of days they emailed me saying that the license was transferred and also said "According to our license transfer policy, the license can be only transferred a single time after owning 6 months, which means there's only a single transfer. However, we understand the confusions, and we'll update this and make it more straightforward."

After this, they technically updated the transfer policy. So second hand licenses are now absolutely not transferrable. Is it because of me? Not really, it was a mistake on their part not stating all the details clearly.

Btw, this was just a couple months ago so I'm not sure what else has changed in their transfer policy.

Madrona Labs allow the original licensee to transfer the license. Once moved, the license becomes NFR (not for resale) and may not be transferred again.

Madrona Labs will issue a PayPal request, asking for a $10 service fee per transfer. The PayPal fee must be paid before the licence is transferred and the license becomes NFR.

For a multiple-license transfer, a single transfer fee covers multiple licenses, subject to all the information necessary being provided to enable all the transfers to be done at once.

I understand waves require a WUP and a Fee. But what if you can just change the email to the buyer?

Does anyone have experience with selling a Rob Papen license? How does it work?

I transferred a license there last week. Just need to use the contact form on the website and request it, while providing the new owners email address used for their account. No transfer fees involved.

Ah great, thanks for clearing this up! :)

You can transfer your license using iLok's License Manager software. Visit https://www.ilok.com/ for more information."

[Edit: they've now switched from iLok and been acquired by inMusic, so I don't know if they still allow license transfers. I'm waiting for a reply from support.]
any updates or new info from InMusic on this?

I recently transferred some Moog stuff too. You don't even need to pay the iLok fee anymore (something I found out after having paid it!). Just contact Moog with the email address of the new user and they'll transfer it at no cost.
