Just a quick question (more directed at the devs)
Can someone tell me the minimum Nvidia GPU required for Melda plugins to take advantage of said GPU.
My Nvidia GPU is a GTX960 (with 2 gig vram). Is this being utilised well if I enable GPU Acceleration in Melda settings, with a “frames per second” setting of 30?

I use a relatively antique Quadro FX 580 and my laptop uses an M310(?) and neither shows a CPU hit while running animated displays on Melda plug-ins. I'd love to have a GTX960.
The coding is also very good about not continuing to eat cycles when the window or entire UI is closed. I wish all companies did that.

Probably doesn't help you but I have an RTX2060 Super running Melda at 100fps on a UHD display and GPU acceleration is enabled.
Melda has a system info button you can click that might help you in the mean time.

I am running a Lenovo notebook with stock Intel shared graphics and their plugins run fine. You can also turn down the FPS settings if you are having issues.

Any NVidia will do really. I'm usually using some passive GPU. Basically the only reason I'm recommending NVidia is that Intel (and AMD GPU) drivers are inherently unstable.. I have seen so many problems with them over the years...

I'm considering an AMD gpu to my new AMD win 11 pc build because I got incredibly annoying dropouts/glitches with my Asus RTX 3050 on my Intel win 10 pc with Audient iD4 Mk2. No Audient support could make it go away. Now I fear trying another Nvidia card/driver moving forward.
- Is there anything new to be said about AMD gpus re Melda plugins? Anyone have experiences to share?
Thanx!

"Minimum GPU required for Melda plugins"
None. 10-years old motherboard video output with whatever was included with the mobo which was bought without a single consideration to video output. Running Linux, always installed standard regarding graphic capabilities. That might have to eventually change with Bitwig 5.2+ which I do not run and some graphic layer called vulkan or something like that.

Ok, thanks for that bit of info. And the Linux bit as well.
I do use the onboard gpu for now, but was curious if something new had shown up rather than just the minimum requirement.
