What a super unprofessional demo download system. And guess I ain't purchasing the synth even if I will like the demo because the website fails to reset my password, which I have forgotten. Oh well.. Waldorf keeps being Waldorf.

Had to create a disposable email just to get to the demo.

My speech.

Sounds very nice, just would love them to add an option to change / increase the polyphony and let my hardware decide just how much or how little it can handle. Like Largo. You can always set it to the "authentic" setting if you wish.

I think the GUI is a noticeable improvement from Largo 2 and Streichfett in terms of how it looks, there's a lot of switching tabs, though. But good job. I like how this one looks.

An incentive for Waldorf to make the soup better.

For some reason the LFO does nothing for me. LFO1 or LFO2. It must be user error, as I have tried this on 2 DAWs and same issue.

I go wave 1 modulation under Oc1 and turn the Mod 1 knob to the right, the source is set as LFO1. And...nothing. I try every shape every speed, and I still get nothing. Velocity mod works fine. LFO2 does not work. It's odd. Anyone else dealing with this, or am I just doing something wrong here?

Then they released the desktop, which was a bit of a burn, considering they said they weren’t interested in doing one. When they did, I made the swap, even though I lost money in the process. I figured, I can always make more money, but not more time having the exact thing that I wanted.
I had no idea they had a desktop module. Well, that certainly changes things. I really thought I was nearing the end of my hardware purchases, with an Iridium being last on my list next year. Having a 3rd Wave as a desktop module is GAS inducing for sure.

I don't mind supporting people at all (do it all the time), but I was pretty hesitant about $30 USD for 64 patches. Totally worth it. I rarely like more than a handful of patches from any soundset, but there's so many good ones here. They sound amazing straight out of the synth, but add a sprinkle of FX and... next level.

Same issues with the LFO, can’t get it to sync in either studio one or cubase

Does it at least work at all for you? I can't even get to that point yet.

I think its because mod 1 it is linked to the modwheel by default, move your modwheel and see if that changes anything, or you could use mod 2, see if that helps.

Ah... that's easy to fix. You have to set the other LFO value (control) to Maximum (or Mod Wheel if you prefer). There is an LFO slot under that you don't have to deal with the controller of the LFO. But yeah an easy fix. I had problem with it as well. It's actually a cool feature.

It is indeed a very cool feature, the Control is a bit like a modifier. You can get some pretty complex modulations combining the LFO of your choice with something else like the other LFO, or the filter or the wave envelope, keytrack, velo, etc. The Microwave 1 is filled with those cool & weird quirks. Worth exploring it.
