How much do module knobs and controls stick out in the extreme sense? Looking to gauge how much to "set back" the frame rails for protection if it falls on its face. Cabinet is 6" deep. Thanks for anything you've got!
Hmm, offhand i would say an inch-1.5 in.
(2in if you dont want to take any chances)
should cover most stuff. Of course some
some devs want their own look so it might
vary. Lots of them will use the same stuff
tho. I cant say im familiar with the behringer
stuff. Honestly, i dont do that at all and have
never had any problems. My case is reversible, eg slanted 45 deg for desktop and 90 deg for vertical. The way the weight is laid makes it's quite stable.

I do have some cases that are not angled,
they are very stable as well, tho pretty
deep. Prob 7 in. which is important since
some modules can be quite deep. My cases
can accomodate pretty much anything,
pretty sure. They are oak, and about 1 in
thick tho, eg a bit unusual as cases go.

Thanks. I'll probably inset them about 1/2", and print some bumpers for the front of the case if it should ever fall flat. Power supply is pretty hefty, so now you've got me worried 6" depth isn't enough. I'm sure it'll be fine.

I've slashed a bunch from my order, settling on pic below. Red-knobbed mixer is just a standin for a 5ch DIY I'm going to whip together first, and a passive mult, cause why not. Now I'm waiting on both retail modules and op-amps from China. Maybe by Christmas I'll have something going.
