Looks really nice! I also prefer without the light/shadow effect.

Thanks, they are both included as part of the download, you just have to swap the files over from the Diva extras folder. Or just duplicate the theme and you have both available. The lighting isn’t as extreme or noticeable when on a full size monitor. Feedback always welcome.

I wanted to build the aesthetic around the fact that the unique thing about Diva is the swapping of the authentically modelled modules. The rack ( especially if you can run a few tracks simultaneously as in the video ) just made more sense than looking like a keyboard.

Is it possible to have a version with wood panels instead of rack and no rust as alternative version? :-)

Any particular wood 😉

Two questions:

1. Do your skins support scaling up for HiDPI or high resolution (4k) screens? I use a 14” laptop screen at 4k resolution scaled to 200%.

2. Do these skins support the latest release of Diva? New versions have just been released.

These look really nice, and I like the idea of having the components look like what they are modeling, while still maintaining the ability of using the manual to see what every knob, switch and slider does. That’s the way I think Diva should have been in the first place. :)

I’m currently testing the skins with the new Diva update - it looks like it all works with a few edits to the script so new versions will be added within the next few days.

I regularly run mine on a 2K screen at 190% and it all scales smoothly so I’d imagine 200% would be no problem especially on a laptop.

Compatibility with Diva 1.4.8 has now been tested - updated with a newly scripted the Key Control option and MPE. Available on the Payhip link and free to download for any previous customers.

But a 4k screen is a much higher resolution than 2k. That would make the theme much smaller. So my question is, was the theme truly designed with HiDPI in mind?

Currently the sizing of all the panels are identical to the original Diva GUI. That is set at 2400 x1340 and all the panels mimic those of the original in size. This is written into the original script that Diva refers to for positioning of every component.

I have kept to those sizes to help reduce the overall file size even though my images were originally rendered out at higher resolution. So if the default Diva GUI doesn't work on 4K for you then mine would generally be the same.

The control knobs however are rendered at a higher resolution such that they don't pixellate like some of the original ones do when rotated as larger viewing percentages are used. The script ultimately sets the sizing though so even though each one of the 100 animated stills created for every knob variety is typically 180x180 pixels as originally rendered Diva compresses them to fit the panel at 80x80.

I'm guessing that to be a true 4K GUI the entire Diva script would have to be rewritten with suitable x,y coordinates by a factor of approx 1.4 ? depending on which definition of 4K you use.

you can just include renders quad the size as an optional download, but dont make it default because it can significantly increase loading times, esp if you have many skins installed.

If i.e. background is 2400 x1340 and you include a 4800 x 2680 render, the script will simply shrink it @100% to 2400z1340, but it means that at 200% scaling you will still get sharp pixel-perfect resolution, not blurry upscaled image.
