I appreciate you probably have tons of work on, but hopefully I've explained my issue, and if you introduce a fix I will be grateful. Otherwise, I'll save my sounds into my Bitwig projects, and do without patch management.

In the next update, I am adding support for your request. The following text file will hold user preset file locations:

Win: c:/public documents/synthmaster3/synthmasterpresetsfolders.txt
Mac: /users/shared/synthmaster3/synthmasterpresetsfolders.txt

The file looks like this:

You can add up to 9 custom paths to this file:

UserPresetsFolder1 to UserPresetsFolder9

Just downloaded latest release (15436) and it keeps hanging while creating new presets. Was stable up to this point.

Do you remember at what point in crashed/hanged ?

I was just playing around really, so not sure. It hung three times - one time I was manipulating a Step-LFO, one time I was manipulating distortion in a filter, and can't remember what I was doing the third time. The common thing between them is that I was using the HOLD function to play a note continually. The patch was not taxing the CPU (it was my laptop, which isn't particularly powerful, but it does give me signs (sound breakup) when its under stress, and it didn't do any of that). The patch itself was multi-layer, but only one oscillator per layer, and no extensive use of modulators or effects.

The sound hung and I couldn't do anything in the UI except close it. Once closed, the sound continued. I couldn't stop it either using the Panic function, or the reset MIDI function in Cubase - I had to close Cubase to stop it.

I will try to replicate it later to see if I can get you more information.

I used to have continue to play note issues ,but it's the daw actually,keep playing notes - sometimes could be fixed if find that note and play over it,sometimes just have to close daw.
Solution - start to freeze your tracks and don't play more than 2-3 instruments simultaneously in real time,somehow it confuse the daw processes ,if load too many instruments with many functions ... less instruments in real time,less problems :):)

So, crashed again once at lunch time (but crashed Cubase to desktop, so that could be Cubases fault (though I don't even remember the last time it crashed prior to this). Have been with it for about an hour now tonight trying to put it through similar paces as last night, and no crashes so far. I did shut the machine down last night, so a restart could have fixed whatever was causing it problems last night?

I follow all the steps. I couldn't reproduce this.
And there is no a real midi output like Omnisphere or Falcon does.

There IS! I provided all the instructions in the video. and I just tested it again with the VST2 and VST3 versions, it works as expected. Are you using the AU version? I haven't tested the AU yet.

yes track 2 recieve midi information from track 1, but it can't write the midi out in a clip

I don't know what a clip is. Functionally, SM3 VST2/VST3 does send out midi as you confirmed. I can not do anything further than that because the vst is sending out midi data to the DAW. It IS behaving according to the VST spec. End of discussion from my point of view.

How to upgrade to SM3 when you already own the Everything Bundle ? (Sorry if this was asked already before)

Also, I hope you can check my last post in the SM2 thread after the SM3 release and I guess a bit of management and rest I have a weird windows right click menu bug.

Just go to the user area: https://www.synthmaster.com/userarea.aspx

Log on with your registered user email address and serial number. Then download and install SynthMaster 3 setup. When you run SynthMaster 3, it will use the license details from SynthMaster 2 and authorize itself.

Just a quick note in the latest patches.. one of the PADS (#39) seem out of sequence (that because of its numbering it shows up away from the other Pads.
